Hyatt House Chicago Schaumburg

Breakfast could have been better and they was always running out and had to wait a while for more food.

The Tv and internet was out majority of my stay and no one tried to accommodate me and I had purchased 4 rooms for my family.

Hotel is a little dated front desk staff friendly however staff not responsive to needs of their appliances being fixed (fuse blown) was without power for one night, hot tub was ice cold

I have stayed in nothing but Hyatt's and have never experienced such dilapidated, dingy, outdated, dirty and broken conditions. I feel we were duped by the online pictures, reviews, listed amenities, and more. Upon arrival, the hotel appeared nice. The lobby was clean. Once we entered the actual hotel rooms, it was unbelievably GROSS. It had dated, dusty, nicked up furniture. The floors looked like all dirt had been swept to the corners and perimeter of rooms. I have pictures . The TV's sound was in techno because a speaker was busted. The heater/ac unit in every room gave you a jolt with just how loud it was everytime it kicked on. I have a video. The pillow in the rooms touched the nightstands on either side because the furniture was so crammed in there. My daughter ended up with her head on the nightstand in the middle of the night. The workout room, if you will call it that, was the size of a walk-in closet with equipment from the early 90's that was completely rusted out. There was actually loose dirt/mud on the floor. Not one, but TWO cleaning people came in while I attempted to run on the rickety treadmill and just looked around for 10 seconds and left. Did zero cleaning. I will never, nor will my entire party of 50 stay in this place ever again. I am a small business owner and travel a lot. I was a true Hyatt properties believer, and this tanked my entire opinion of the chain. Shame on you, Hyatt.

It was a pleasant stay and felt like we were staying in a home. We came with friends and family for New Year’s Eve to celebrate. We had a great time!

My family has stayed at this hotel for many years; however, our most recent stay—and today’s experience—were extremely disappointing. Upon checking in, we discovered a leak in the bathroom sink. The room had not been properly cleaned; only the beds had been made. When we visited the pool area, the hot tub was not operational. After returning to our room, we found that the hot water was also not working. We were moved to a different room, but it did not have an office chair, which I had to request separately. Additionally, the television remote in the new room was taped together and did not function properly—it would only turn the TV on and off. When I reported these issues to the front desk, I was told that there was nothing they could do because the hotel is under new management and undergoing renovations. If that is the case, rooms with non-functioning amenities should not be rented to guests. I was instructed to use the buttons on the TV; however, the LG television in our room has only one button, which also only turns the TV on and off. As a result, we were unable to watch television with our children. This stay has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. Overall, this was the worst service and experience we have had at this hotel

I like the fact that the pool was open even in the winter time and the pool area also have a sauna a nice touch....Plus you’re also able to relax in the lobby area If you don’t want to stay in your room all day….They also have a private community room that you can utilize I don’t know if you have to rent it out but it is still nice to have that option for just your family.

There really wasn’t nothing that I noticed that I didn’t like

I stayed here near Christmas for a couple days to visit family. The hotel is clean and well maintained. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast included made to order omelette. I visited a while ago and it is much improved. Well done Hyatt house.

The day of arrival I received a call at 2pm letting me know that one of the rooms I booked months in advance was not available and they could give me one other room with 2 queen beds instead. I let them know we would need 2 additional rooms as we needed separate spaces. They did accommodate that. They said those rooms would be connecting but they were not. Rooms were outdated and not in good repair with cleanliness opportunities. Room 624 had a large pink stain on the carpet at the end of the bed, a scratch on the floor under the desk and a large soda spilled all over the wall in the hallway outside the room. Both spills were brought to the attention of the front desk attendant and she said she would come look at the hallway wall and send housekeeping the next day to shampoo out the stain in the carpet but neither were done in the 2 days we were there. We know housekeeping never came or knocked on our door because unfortunately my wife was sick and we never left the room the next day. Room 214 - all 3 TVs were not working and when we called down they said no maintenance at night so we would have to wait until tomorrow. We fixed them ourselves as they were mostly just loose connections but no one even checked on us the next day to ask or sent anyone. The hot tub did not work the first day and when we brought it to the attention of the front desk she said that the thermostat was set to 104 and rolled her eyes. All she had to do was feel that it was ice cold. They received other complaints and had it fixed the next day but the response was less than friendly. This is not the Hyatt House standards I am used to when I travel for business and have had over 100 hotel stays a year through different chains.

The location was close to where we needed to go.

The breakfast was not how advertised. The pool day 1 was warm, the hot tub was cold. The pool day 2 was ice cold, the hot tub was warm but the bubbles did not work

Terrible disgusting accommodations. If mold and peeling paint is your thing then this is the place! Along with what looked like bloody boogers smeared on the bathroom wall. Stains on carpet and couch, room was nasty.
