Hyatt House Chicago Schaumburg

The location is super close to the local mall so it makes it easy if you’re a big shopper and need a break in between all the shopping. The location is also about 20-30 mins depending on traffic to downtown Chicago so close enough if you don’t like staying in the big city.

Wish their pool was bigger but not complaining because this location has a hot tub and a sauna.

Nice place, rooms feel a bit dated but I've never had any noticeable issues here. One caveat...there is a space for a bar, but the bar is not open. Not sure what the reason is (I have heard issues with getting a permit from the city, my personal theory is that the bar wasn't making enough money to justify hiring a bartender) but if you want to drink, just plan on BYOB.

Hotel is going through renovation and the rooms are not clean or updated. Definitely better options!!!! The pool area did not have towels, room was not clean. Best part was breakfast.

The hotel in a whole needs an update. Not the cleanest.

Room, bed, breakfast all wonderful, and the staff were great!. The general manager, Saleem Samara, and the night clerk, Paulina, were particularly helpful.

TV didn't work initially, but we were able to get it fixed the next day.

The location was good for our trip and the destinations we came to see. And, the staff was beyond friendly and nice.

They advertise a bar which was not open during our stay. The pool was not well maintained when we went to check it out. There were cans and bottles I assume left from the night before, and used towels spread about. The sheets on our bed had a permanent set in stain. Furniture and appliances were dated, and the room did not have an ottoman as listed and shown on the website.
