Hilton Garden Inn Phoenix Airport

Lifetime Diamond member here. Credit for 135 different Hilton properties. This is my favorite of them. Why? 1. No turnover of the staff, except at the front desk (even then it is a low turnover). 2. Raul and Nancy always make sure I'm taken care off with the food and the room. 3. This time though, Taylor and Penelophe went above and beyond the call of duty. I lost an item near the front desk. I checked the trash can up front where I might have tossed it, but it was not there. The item was very personal to me. I asked to go through the trash in the dumpster. They were ready to do that. However, once they found out what it was, they said it might be in the kitchen. After a brief inspection, it was not located. However, Penelophe offered to look through some of the table preparations- a lengthy process. She found the item and it is back in my possession. Thank you!

Johnny at the front desk, friendly, helpful, effective. Waffle House next door convenient. Clean, comfortable room.

Really nice stay. Very comfortable and easy to get to from the airport. Love that there is a Waffle House in the parking lot.

What I liked most about my stay was the convenience of having a restaurant located right outside the hotel.

What I didn’t like was how far the location was from tourist attractions and entertainment options. Additionally, the customer service provided by the managerial staff was unsatisfactory. My room was not cleaned as scheduled, and when I notified the manager via text—the line of communication established by the hotel—they insinuated that I had left the “Do Not Disturb” sign on my door for too long, which was not the case. I had been out of the room long enough to allow ample time for housekeeping to clean it. Ultimately, my room was never cleaned, and I only received fresh towels after specifically requesting them.

Communication at the front desk was poor. It took a long time to check in and the the staff failed to mention that the shuttle will not drop off at the terminal but only at the train station. This lack of information resulted in a difficult arrival requiring multiple elevators, a crowded train ride and a very long walk to check in. The front desk did point at a sheet of paper that explained the situation, but unless one was looking for it, it was difficult to see. Problems would have been avoided if this fact would have been mentioned at check and shuttle reservation.
