Manor Hotel

Hooks missing on curtains. plug missing from sink. Uncomfortable bed. Awkward access to room as no lift. Small car park--8 cars. However reception was quick and genuine.

Firstly when we arrived , they had no knowledge of our booking , I am blaming hotel.com for this as very embarrassing , so we had to wait half an hour for them to sort something out , We booked an excecutive room , and got a room which was nothing like the rooms in the photos , as the hotel was empty you would of thought that we would get our excecutive room , but instead the room was very small with really drab dated furniture , a really small uncomfortable bed and the yellow carpet was covered in black stain marks ,was only there for two nights so we put up with it , I honestly think they kicked one of the staff out of there room for us , would never go back and will not be useing hotel.com again

Our booking wasn't as we booked on arrival with only one night booked instead of three, also given smaller room than booked. After discussion and insistence on our part it was sorted. Staff couldn't be more helpful when showed our copy of the booking form.

It was an ok stay, not the greatest but we were only wanting somewhere to settle our heads. Close to many attractions and has free parking. Room was relatively clean but it is old and needs updating and fixing. The walls are paper thin and I could hear the man next door snoring! Room was a box literally couldn't open my little suitcase on the floor.

On arrival at 5pm dirty laundry still outside room, toiletries and coffee facilities had not been replenished. (but all sorted out promptly when requested) Many breakfast items that were on the menu were not available.

This hotel lives on the fact that it is the only one in the area. It is tired, run down and grubby. The beds are worn out, the decor is tatty and the service is mediocre at best. But it is in a lovely village with a great pub and Indian restaurant nearby. I only use it as a last resort.

Comfortable room, willing staff, access to safe parking was excellent and food was good

In great need of refurbishment! Far too expensive for the condition of the hotel. They wanted to charge me £99 for a double but I looked on Trivago & got a slightly better deal.

Dreadful. Awful. Nice enough building with plenty of charm however hotel staff are arrogant and rude (Except the lady in the bar), room was tiny, television didn't work in room, no hot water in room, accused of not paying on check out even though had prepaid through hotels.com (then found out the room rate was £52.50 and not the £70 I paid). Only positive was the pub across the road. Oh and the free car park for the hotel is tiny so if you need to park close to the hotel make sure you arrive early

If you need to stay in this area, it will suffice but don't expect too much.
