"Great stay"

It was really a great time over here... the property is bit older but maintained well. staffs are really great,polite and with a nice helping mentality. it is a great place to enjoy holidays with family. service and staffs are really awesome.

"Close to Activities and nice outside ambience"

The service is good, but hotel is bit old and bath rooms are not up to 4-star level. Overall its ok stay. The price could have been lower than they charged.

"A great oasis."

A good hotel for access to Hampi. Good staff and restaurant in a well-managed facility. Rooms are spacious and the bathroom facilities acceptable. Grounds provide a good outlook, though the approach is somewhat unprepossessing. The managers have a progressive eco attitude and employ local people which is laudable but can make English language conversations difficult. Happy to recommend and to return. Better than Clark's Inn in Hampi.

"Pleasant stay"

Nice pleasant hotel, though not a very scenic neighborhood. Near to Chikmagalur town but away from hustle bustle. Welcoming staff and okay food. Not totally a Taj experience, but this hotel does provide a class stay.

"Comfortable, Peaceful stay"

Overall it was a good comfortable stay. It all started well when "The Gateway" upgraded my room to a cottage looking at the size & diversity (with my mom) of our family. Though it's a Taj property they don't seem to advertise it maybe as few of the facilities (like pool) remains unusable (way too many insects due to the location & tough to clean continuously I guess. Can look at indoor pool maybe). Room service was ok & food variety for veg was bit limited. Breakfast buffet was adequate for us though some might feel it is less compared to other 3 star hotels in bangalore (should remember this is the best around the area still).

"Nice relaxing stay in Chikmangalur"

Best hotel of Chikmangalur! I visited there for a relaxing weekend and the property was just right with lot of activities inside the hotel itself!
