The people who work here are awesome. Theres nothing i didnt like.

Great staff all around (Special shoutout to Amed and Marlon). Great location and the air in the main lobby was clutch.

This is a wonderful hotel and place to stay!!! It was my first time here and I will definitely be back. I was looking for a laid back atmosphere and lounging around type of place for a relaxing go with the flow vacation. This was the best choice! Everything is close to the hotel also within walking distance. Great location!! All the staff were so friendly and helpful! I drink a lot of coffee in the morning and the front desk always gave me a few more coffees :) I recommend this place to everyone!! See you all again soon when I plan my next trip here!!

too noisy

I worked with tourism for 20 years it never repen to me, I went to Miami to do inspections in some hotels, I stayed at Axel and to my surprise I charged a fine of 299 dollars (already contested in the card) for having smoked inside the room (i do not smoke cigarretes). luckily the receptionist handed me a paper with the time that the sensor detected. At 815 am on the day of check in, humanly impassible, as I was waiting for the release of the room and receiving the information of operation of the hotel. I sent an email with the information and did not receive any response just the bill. I really smelled a cigarette when I walked into the room, I didn't complain because I had received an early check in.

The staff are the only main positive about this hotel. It’s very run down and tired. From the reception step ladder with hole in ceiling greeting you that was there all week. To the poorly decorated rooms and walkways. One night from 3.30am there was 7 false alarm fire alarms which was rediculous in the end snd no one even apologise for it. Pool area needs cleaning up to. It was ok but again dirty snd tired. Drink and food prices for the quality was vastly overpriced. Floors are very noisy so if u are unlucky like me you will hear everything above!! Bathrooms not overly clean either. However they were ‘cleaned daily’ Air con is great but when u switch it off within 15 mins it comes back on, so at night quite noisy! Location was good, staff amazing Nothing special sadly snd unfortunately does not look or feel like any of the European Axel hotels! I know of a few who checked out early and booked else where. Pity this place could be great.

The staff was impeccable. They were so helpful and accommodating. The property was clean and had the perfect layout. The pool was set in a tropical paradise with the greenery and plants. I would 10/10 recommend this hotel and I would definitely stay again if I’m ever in the Miami area.

Great location, very close proximity to a bunch of shops, restaurants, and the beach! Unfortunately, that may be the only upside. The room was small and dated, did not give off the feeling it was very clean. The room and fridge were filled with snacks and drinks (for purchase). The pool was not busy when we were there and it was huge but it was not the cleanest, not horrible though. Our biggest complaint is that we were charged a $42 resort fee on top of taxes and fees paid when booking (through third-party). We were not notified of this fee during booking or check-in so beware. On top of that, we were also charged $5, which I didn’t bother to call and argue about, but we did not take any of the snacks or drinks and have no idea what they charged us for. Overall, the location is great but beware of unexpected fees!
