"My worst lodging experience in Mammoth"

4.0

The room has enough beds for a family of 4-7. It's right behind a mini mall with shops and restaurants. Free simple breakfast and coffee everyday.

The room (A frame) we stayed in was directly above the lobby and breakfast area. Every morning around 6:30 the smoke smell started to fill up in our room from the cooking downstairs and it was unbearable, even with the windows open. Also the room behind us had their bathroom carved into our space, right next to our beds. The guests in that room during our stay were early risers, taking a shower before 6 am every morning. The piping and running water sound was extremely loud and woke everyone up. The bunk bed was very flimsy and hard to climb up and down, with missing screws on the ladder it should be a safety hazard. The room had no desk, no dining table even though there was a basic kitchenette. If you bring a laptop they will have to stay on your lap. And if you make simple food you eat on the couch. There were enough towels and toilet paper but they forgot to resupply paper towels when it's already extremely low at the check in. The staff were friendly but when I asked to switch rooms due to the unbearable smoke smell in the morning they refused because I booked through a third party, even though there's availability with rooms of similar prices or cheaper. We stayed in many different places in Mammoth throughout the years and this one was very disappointing, even with the low expectations to begin with because the prices were fair. But they weren't the cheapest. Quality Inn has a covered garage, better cancellation policy and location to the shuttle and it's cheaper.

"Best homemade breakfast in an excellent location with restaurants and the Red Line bus nearby"

Rustic and cozy cabin feel (we were upstairs A room above the lobby). The homemade breakfast was very good, one of the highlights of our stay

"Last resort"

3.0

The staff were so welcoming and recommended awesome activities to do other than skiing since it www our first time in mammoth. The location was nice too, not too far from either 3 lodges

breakfast is not something i would consume here if you can avoid it. a little worse than a hotel breakfast, you’re better off getting a drip coffee and walking over to schats across the street. the room itself is pretty gross, there’s stains on the pillowcase and top sheet, dinges everywhere on the wall and just people’s leftover particles that question is that a booger, blood, crust/flakes? the sheets have holes but the bed itself is comfy. these room could really benefit from paint and a magic eraser. the sconces were plugged in but didn’t work and the overhead light directly over the bed is an eye sore. I didn’t need luxury accommodations just a place to rest my head for the night but i definitely didn’t feel clean after staying here.
