Spruce Point Inn Resort and Spa

This was our first stay at Spruce Point Inn. We have vacationed for years in Maine and we came back for a trip along the coast and to revisit Boothbay Harbor. Discovered Spruce Point Inn and it was delightful. Only about 1.5 miles outside of the town but also a world away from the hectic tourist shops and restaurants. We stayed in the historic main inn. Our room, Holland, was plenty large enough with a wonderful oceanfront balcony. While very comfortable and immaculate it evoked a lovely Maine cottage. The grounds were lovely and many sitting areas to relax and watch the boats and the tide come and go. I only wished we had been able to stay longer!

We had a wonderful stay at Spruce Point Inn! The staff was friendly, the property was beautiful, and there was so much to do. We loved the pools and the views were incredible. We also really enjoyed exploring the hiking trails. It was a relaxing and memorable getaway, and we would definitely stay here again!

Spruce Point Inn is simply wonderful and there have been additions and improvements under the new management, but nothing about its hospitality and coziness have changed after many years of serving regular and new visitors. The historic photos of past political leaders and others that enjoyed their stay at Spruce Point hang on the walls and add a wonderful leisurely tour that every visitor should see. The views are outstanding and it’s easy access to town and all it’s shops and restaurants just add to this being a perfect spot to land and enjoy Boothbay Harbor!

After a few years away, we decided to return to Spruce Point Inn with our kids, and we are so glad we did. The property has always been beautiful, but what really stood out this time was how thoughtfully everything was designed for families. The kids’ playroom was incredibly well done, and on our last day they had lawn games set up with lemonade, which was such a fun touch. There were activities every day, including morning yoga, which my wife and I enjoyed together. The service throughout our stay was exceptional. One afternoon we were simply relaxing on the front porch—not even dining—and a server came by to offer drinks. Those little moments really made us feel cared for. Every interaction with the staff was warm and genuine, and the level of hospitality was incredible. We also had what may have been the best clam chowder I’ve had in a very long time. All around, an outstanding experience. We’re already looking forward to coming back.

The room was spacious but wasn't cleaned properly. Cobwebs on the light fixtures was not something I'd expect to see (that should not be an oversight). Other than that, stay was nice.

Extremely family friendly! We loved the pool, s’mores, play room and more. There is so much to do but also so easy to relax and enjoy the ocean views. We went with a group of friends and the kids were entertained throughout the day and night!

Omellettes could have been a little fluffier and cheesier and not so dry/browned

We were told the resdaurant closed at 10 by the young girl at the front desk on our first nite so when we went to eat at 850 and were told it was closed because it was slow, we felt mislead. Hubby is diabetic and needed a meal so he had candy for dinner. Otherwise it would have been fine if there maybe were some grab and go options for him like some fruit.
