Stayed at the hotel before; chose again for familiarity. Staff is helpful; view is unbeatable - select the room with the river view. Close to subway (well, 10-15) walk . Rooms are outdated , but stil comfortable compared to other hotels in area. Breakfast is the best in town; good restauraunt

"Excellent value for money, amazing view"

10.0

I was hugely impressed with the quality of the hotel for the money that we paid. Usually when you pay so little, you get a tiny room facing a brick wall, but instead we had a reasonable sized room with large windows and a fantastic view over the river Neva and the St Petersburg skyline. Breakfast was very plentiful with a huge choice and almost worth what we paid for the hotel alone!!

"Nice view, convinient , but needs update"

8.0

Location is good ; 15 minute walk to Metro (difficult during the cold period of year) ; nice view from riverview rooms; but hotel is outdated. I recommend - do not use ironing room facilities ; their electronic irons are old , rusty and do not have steamer functions. Overall, hotel and service staff is good

"Beautiful view, ugly construction"

8.0

The hotel was nice. We booked a nice room with a river view and the view was amazing!! --Highlight of the hotel, for sure.-- The room was huge and had extra space for a couch/tv area. There's not too much to do in the immediate area, but it was an easy 10 minute walk to the metro. My only substantial complaint is that half the building was under renovation. The area where we ate breakfast would've been beautiful, except that it had tarps covering holes left by knocked out windows. Other than that, it was just more of an eyesore from the outside that we didn't notice much while inside. If you don't think you'll mind the construction, this is a nice place to stay. (But make sure you get a river view room!)

"affordable stay if lack of air conditioner is not a problem"

4.0

My stay at the hotel was at the time of the heat wave and there is no AC in the hotel anywhere. not in any of the guest rooms, halls, lobbys or the restaurants. therefore, the stay at this hotel was terrible expirience for me.

"Good"

4.0

The hotel was a disappointment. I'm used to of low budget guesthouses and hotels so my expectations are not high. Getting the room took long, eventhoug there was only couple of people checking in. I was travelling with my mother so we had booked a room with two beds, but first we were given a room with only one bed. To get a new room another 30 minutes wait at the desk was required. New room was ok but next morning I realised that there are bedbugs in my bed. We were able to change the room again and there was no sight of bedbugs after that. English spoken by the receptionists was wery limited. There is no airconditioning (at least working) so the room was uncomfortably hot. The view to the river Neva was nice though.
