Americas Best Value Inn Downtown Houston

To tell you the truth I would never go there again especially solo. The first room I had there was a mouse that ran across the floor. There was a strong scent of fresher that I reacted to. The hotel is also not in a good area, and kinda scary. I was moved to a room upstairs which was much better. The locks were not the best so I moved a coffee table in front of my door and also put a chair wedged under the table to feel comfortable. The room was clean but old. Bed was comfortable. Morning coffee was instant. I didn’t drink it. Stopped at convenience store for coffee.

The room was dirty .. looked like prostitution was going on next door and the stores were filthy ..towels had yellow stains on them

horrible room. the staff was kind but thats it. i left a pair of shoes and i expected to come back next morning but they already told me the shoes weren’t there. they clearly took them for themselves. that is not honest at all. the bathroom had a lizard on the shower, and the towels were very dirty, stained and with hairs on them. i will never go again there, it’s horrible, even for the price.

All ecept the front desk guy to shek out so bad he went to my room i ask him for little time i was in call and he go to my room and was so bad atitud he same with my clothes for work he say i think u dont got money

Room was nicer than the outside and surroundings look.

After making a reservation weeks in advance, I was told all they had was smoking rooms…period. After not being scared away with that statement, I finally got them to say we could come back later in afternoon after they clean a non smoking room. Could have opened with that statement. Room was adequate, outside of hotel and surroundings look really rough. Title of hotel has Downtown in it. While it is close, it is NOT downtown.
