Grande Denali Lodge

Rooms were clean, nice views from restaurant. Decent breakfast ($30 per person). Reception were helpful with local sightseeing info. Free parking.

Dining options limited. A bit remote from downtown. High price vs fairly basic level of amenities. Restaurant dining options limited.

Complétely overrated. They did not clean our room. Not enough Spaces for parking. Overpriced.

We had a beautiful view of Denali National Park from our room. The room was exceptional, lots of space, and very up to date! The parking was not that good with minimal parking spaces on the main level of the lodge (it was mainly a drop off area for a bus or shuttle). There was overflow parking lots down the hill so people had to hike up the dirt road to get to the lodge.

The staff is really friendly and helpful, restaurant serves very good food and beds are very comfortable, rooms are clean and housekeeping ladies are very friendly . We were a little disappointed that bar open at 4 o’clock afternoon, till than you had anything to do here, you can’t even get a tea or coffee. Big wonderful complex but a little bit boring up there.

The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The lodge itself is dated and looks a bit rundown. The restaurant breakfast was comparable to a Holiday Inn continental. If I was eating just the staff I’d give 5 stars!

Comfortable, clean lodging. Beautiful surroundings. Staff was SUPER helpful and kind. Transportation to the park was on time to the second! Important when timing how to get around. Thanks to all!

We stayed here for two nights. If a great view is your primary motivation than this is the place for you! Gorgeous views! The rooms are very small though and about the quality you'd expect at a decent Motel 6. Inconsistent hot water and poor water pressure, but clean. Biggest thing for me was that the lobby and restaurant are in a totally separate building, so you have to go out in the elements to get your morning cup of coffee, or to do laundry (which is a totally different building). The young people who work here are fantastic though! If we come back to Denali we probably wouldn't stay here again. Although all the options have some pretty negative reviews. It is a seasonal resort area and we are all a captive audience, so expectations need to reflect that. Avoid the restaurant and especially the ribeye. $52 for a 10 ounce steak, about 2 ounces of which were edible and not gristle or fat. There are better options in the cute little downtown area right below.

After 11 days in the wilderness our stay at the Grande Denali felt like winning the lottery - gorgeous views, super attentive staff, good food. They made everything g easy.

Beautiful lodge at the top of a bluff overlooking the valley. The room was spacious. The transportation was great. Don Green did a fantastic job organizing the drivers. Staff was helpful. Restaurant was expensive. Great spot to stay and explore Denali National Park. There is a small grocery/liquor store at the bottom of bluff to pick up snacks.
