The Regal Hotel

This place is filthy. The mattress was torn, had nasty yellow stains, and even had mold on it! Had to get a mattress from another room just to make it try the night. When I told the manager he just said oh so very sorry and gave me a 10$ discount. The rooms AC barley worked. Had to get a fan to plug in just to make it bearable. The safety lock on the door was broke and the bathtub was rusty and would probably need a tetanus shot if you used it. The wall paper in the halls is falling off And the carpet make you apologize to your shoes for wearing them on it. Save yourself and never stay here

This was a nice older hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. The stairs leading to the second floor were not very clean though. There wasn’t any breakfast available, but the complimentary coffee was great. The only real complaint I have is that there was no charging station for my cell phone. In all, it was a nice stay at a great price.

This town.

My bathroom was dirty, hair in the toilet. I could hear the people next to me, could hear people going in and out of rooms. Some TV remote buttons didn’t work and I saw a roach!!! No elevators and the stairwell was not clean. Gave me an icky feeling especially the bathroom. I hate this type review but thought you should know my experience

Great hotel. The customer service was amazing as always. I needed a disability room for my daughter and they were so patient with my family's needs. I definitely recommend the Regal hotel if you are in Carthage, TX.

MOLD!!

The staff was friendly, and the hotel looked good at first look. Our room was newly remodeled EXCEPT the bathroom, and it was gross. even if they replaced the caulk in the tub/shower and the light fixture it would have been ok. I felt dirty walking in the bathroom and I wasn't stepping into the mildewy shower. The outdoor pool was also pretty gross looking, you couldn't see the bottom of the 3 ft area.

When we arrived we were on a 2nd floor room, and we didnt realize there were no elevators‐ no biggie; we adjusted. Got to the room, keys didnt work. Trudged back down to let them know. Worker gave new keys, no apology, and said don't place near cellular phone (we hadn't), and I said okay and left with a smile. Got to the room and set our things out. Found dirty socks in the room and a dirty washcloth in the bathroom. Called down, and he said come back down and ill give new room. Switched rooms. 1st person to use restroom about half hour after getting settled, and toilet wouldnt flush at all. No water was going to the tank or anything. Then we turned on water in the tub, toilet started running, so we flushed. It stopped normally. Later, we heard something and looked in bathroom, it was flooded. Called down, switched rooms again, still no apology at all. The last room was still not great, and there was a dead bug in the bathroom, but we slept and left first thing in the morning. Upon checkout they same guy was working but no one at the desk. He came a couple minutes after I was standing there and I let him know we were checking out. No smile, no "how was your stay" or "have a good day", or anything. He just took the keycards and turned away. I definitely do not recommend this hotel.
