The Regal Hotel

This hotel has two floors with inside stairs. There is no elevator in the hotel. The room was hot. Bed covers were stained. Small bathroom. No plastic bag in closet for dirty closes. Vending machine was broke. Ice machine was broke. I have never stayed in a multiple floor MOTEL with no elevator. The room smelled horrible.

What was supposed to be a few day stay turned into a 3 week stay as we were displaced from Hurricane Ida. Keep in mind this is not a 5-star hotel, and you will not a 5-star hotel experience. However, our stay at The Regal Hotel was extremely pleasant. Cons: Thin Walls, Spotty Wifi, No Elevator, Not a Lot to Do in Town Pros: Pet Friendly, On-Site Laundry, Clean Rooms, Clean Pool, Super Accommodating & Friendly Staff, Close to Restaurants/Shopping I cannot emphasize enough how great the entire staff was at The Regal. They were exceptionally gracious and empathetic in regards to our displacement. We had a small issue where our door would jam, and they sent someone to fix it right away. Housekeeping, despite a language barrier, were always extremely friendly and thorough (and super sweet to our cat). When our stay needed to be extended, the owner was willing to give us a weekly rate to help us out. The on-site laundry and the clean (albeit tiny) fitness room was a blessing. This is not the hotel you want for a luxury vacation type of stay, but if you need a roof over your head and a comfy, clean bed, this is the place. The amazing staff alone made our stay so worth it.

My favorite place to stay when I'm visiting Carthage

Everything was great, and we were able to bring our fur babies with us. We wished that there was the normal complimentary breakfast, but we understand that they didn't have it due to covid. The only reason that I mentioned it, is because we had to evacuate from Hurricane Ida, so it would have made it a lot easier for us. The staff were very friendly & the rooms were clean.

Shower could have put out a little more water. Ac in our room wasn’t cold, but cool. An older hotel, will have to use stairs, but nice place to stay if you are looking for a good deal on a decent room.

Room was clean, but air conditioner very noise. They are making changes and cleaning up the place. No breakfast, just coffee and a biscuit. The price may have been just a bit much for what you get. Would stay again, I am sure they will get things fixed soon.

Figured it would be more up to date! Needs a little work but the guy that worked the desk was super nice & helpful!

My stay was good but I had a few cleaning issues.
