The Regal Hotel

Strong smell, AC didn’t work well, tv didn’t work, something sticky all in the floor, fridge was hot and to top it off looked like a washcloth covered in blood or feces in the Kleenex box holder in the bathroom. Front desk girl was very nice and helpful but the owner needs to do deal with unhappy customers not leave it to her! If you own a disgusting establishment then either fix it or you deal with the unhappy customers. (There was also another family leaving when we were) Just save some frustration and stay across the street at the super 8!

I’m not one to leave a terrible review unless I had a really bad experience. First of all, the young lady at the front desk was amazing, totally nothing to do with her. She was so friendly and kind and kept good conversations with us throughout the whole check in process. The bad was the room had a smell, and then inside the bathroom were several roaches of all sizes. We left immediately and got our money back.

The overpowering air freshener was not pleasant. It makes me wonder what they're hiding. The bathroom was not clean. Hair on the floor. The tub was rusty and dirty. More water came out of the spout than the shower when the shower was activated. There was an automatic coffee pot in the lobby. Poorly stocked.

The employee who checked us in was wonderful. Very nice and helpful. The motel itself needs some work.

Location was good for what we were doing Checkin/out easy. Obvious the place needs some updating with rust around metal door moldings and the tub. Carpet desperately needs steam cleaning or more like replacement! Bathroom had not been swept prior to our visit with dirt and debris in corners. Shower curtain was old and would not stay closed causing water to go out of shower. Barely some soap and shampoo. Room was overly done on air scent, but you could still dmell mustiness coming through. Only reason we did not go somewhere else was because we were only in the room to sleep and shower-so were not in the room very long. We will make another choice when visiting Carthage again.

We were very unhappy with the regal hotel. There was a bad odor that was even stronger in the room. The bedside lamp did not have a bulb in it and the chair at the desk was ripped open. The blackout curtains were rotted and had rips. The carpet needed to be replaced. There was only a pad on the sofa bed and it had hair on it. We chose this place because it was supposed to have free breakfast, but even though it was still on their site there was no breakfast. The clerk laughed when asked why they advertised something they didn’t have.

Though the bed was comfortable i question whether the pillows had bed changed, as on had blood on the corner. The general condition of the hotel was run down and the amenities were sparse.

The toilet was broken. Other than that is was pretty good.
