JW Marriott Rio de Janeiro

This hotel exceeded all my expectations! The moment I walked in, I was greeted by the very friendly front desk staff. A special shoutout to Matheus at the Welcome desk. He was amazing and went beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Additionally, Elinaldo provides exceptional service just like Giulia during breakfast. These individuals are true superstars at this hotel. Overall, my experience was wonderful, and I can’t thank these people and the rest of the team enough for their exceptional service. I opted for this hotel primarily because it carries the Marriott brand, though it's quite dated and probably rated three stars. We stayed here for three nights, and the location couldn't be better since the renowned Copacabana Beach is right outside. The hotel even provides guests with clean rubber slippers. However, the rooms are on the small side, and although we reserved three of them, none were upgraded to a larger room. On the plus side, Matts was extremely helpful - he arranged early check-in for two rooms and secured seats for us at the Roxy Dinner and Show in one of the evenings. The food served in the ninth-floor lounge was great, complemented by breathtaking views of the beach and courteous and helpful staff. We were a large group of 8 people and the JW really took great care of us. The hotel is well situated with easy access to Leme and Ipanema. The neighborhood behind the hotel has everything you need from restaurants to grocery stores and is quite safe. They can arrange taxis and tours for you as well. The rooms are fine, very clean, and quite comfortable with excellent views. This is not top shelf luxury, but very nice. The breakfast buffet is great, the food and drinks offered at the pool wonderful, and the spa, while small, offer nice massages. The best part of the JW is the staff. They have amazing people working for them and whoever is hiring and training needs a raise. They are doing a great job ensuring the staff is truly top notch hospitable. I enjoyed this JW better than anyone so are even if it is not super duper luxury.

El personal de recepción fue descortés, hay una mala interface entre la plataforma Booking y el hotel, la reserva no aparece correctamente en el sistema del hotel. El frigobar del cuarto no funcionaba
