Great location on Copacabana beach

The hotel is pretty dated and didn't meet the quality I'd expect for a JW specifically with facilities and room quality. I've stayed at lower priced hotels with better quality. It needs a major renovation.

I can’t recommend this hotel enough! I’ll admit, I was a little nervous that it might not live up to the JW name—but wow, the photos don’t even come close to capturing how beautiful this place really is. From the moment we pulled up to the front drive, any worries completely disappeared. The staff were genuinely exceptional—special shoutout to Edwarda at the front desk, who made us feel so welcome from the start. Everyone we met was warm, professional, and most spoke English or quickly found someone who did. We spent almost all of Christmas Day at the rooftop pool, and it was absolutely magical. The views were breathtaking, the atmosphere relaxing, and the team up there delivered the same incredible service we experienced throughout our stay. And I have to give a huge compliment to Rafael, who handled our nightly turndown service. He went above and beyond, leaving thoughtful treats and tidying up with such care—it truly stood out. I’ve worked in hotels for over 10 years and travel frequently, and I’ve never seen this level of attention to detail. This property is a perfect example of luxury service done right. We can’t wait to come back!

Excellent hotel. View of the sea from the room, the restaurant and the rooftop bar. Food very good in restaurant . Good location but if you want to travel around taxis very cheap.
