Spent 4 nights here on a solo trip, I enjoyed it! The location is directly across the street from the beach, which is perfect. The courtyard is beautiful and a great place to sit and read. The room was cozy, house keeping staff were wonderful. The pool is beautiful, though there were empty cups everywhere for hours that were not picked up. I booked my own excursions using trip advisor, but they can help you book activities if you need assistance. Drivers from the excursions that I booked were easily able to pick me up from the resort. The food was as to be expected from an all-inclusive resort; the dining staff were very friendly. Front desk staff were very friendly. My issue, leading to 4 stars, is with the transportation provided by the resort. I attempted to set up transportation from the airport using the “chat” feature on hotels.com; I received a response, affirming that transportation could be provided, but once I sent my flight details I never received a response and was not picked up at the airport. I took a local taxi (which was fine, same price), but this caused some mild anxiety upon my arrival. While I was checking in, I was told that I did not need to schedule departure transport and that I could be taken to the airport “whenever.” An hour after I checked in, I received an email confirming that I had been picked up from the airport, which I had not been (I haven’t checked, but I’m hoping I wasn’t charged lol). The morning that I checked out, I spoke to the younger transportation driver, asking for transport to the airport at 10:30am, and he agreed. The younger driver, Elijah, who also assisted with booking activities, was super friendly and helpful. I arrived to the lobby at 10:24am, and was told by the gruff older transportation driver that there would be no airport transport until 11am. Again mildly anxious about being late, I sat in the lobby waiting; at 11am we got up to get in the van, the man demanded that I get a “paper” from the front desk for the transport, while I naively assumed I would just pay him in cash. I was anxiously trying to get this “paper” (just turned out to be a receipt) from the front desk, which took at least 5 minutes because reception kept stepping away to answer the phone (they were doing their job, I don’t hold it against them! Was just super anxious because I didn’t want the van to leave without me). Anyways, getting transportation felt like it took an act of congress, but other than that my experience was great. Some things to keep in mind/I was not aware of before going: The beach is only open until 5:30pm. There is a card in your check-in envelope, you redeem if at the office at the resort for a beach towel. If you don’t return the towel/get the card back, it is a $30 charge. Not an issue, but the beach across the street is heavily monitored by staff. The downtown area has some famous bars and small local shops, but you have navigate the intense male locals to explore. Again, not an issue, just something to be aware of for solo female travelers. If you’re anxious, be mindful of the transportation concerns. ALL THINGS CONSIDERED, I enjoyed my stay here, and would definitely come back. Jamaica was a lot of fun, would recommend this place if you’re a solo traveler!

The name suggests it’s a resort and it’s not. It’s a small hotel on the busy main road through Montego Bay (the strip). The pool is small and the water was cloudy most of our stay. It needed proper treatment to clear the water. Proper glasses are a premium in the downstairs bar. Who wants to drink out of plastic in the evenings. The seating areas on level 1 and 2 are in a poor way. The rooms are not clean. The pillow cases at times were grey not white and the pillows were past their sell by date. Food was basic and repetitive. Limited salad and fruit available. I will not return
