Eagle Ridge Resort and Spa

We got an upgrade for our room which was very nice. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. The water in the pool was cool and I would have expected to have a hot tub in the pool area. We were there for 2 nights and our room wasn't vacuumed. The meals we ate in the resort was good except for the hamburger my wife had-she wasn't happy with that meal. The grounds were well kept-the area is very nice and close to town.

The condo was very nice and had a lot of amenities. It was a little dated and was advertised as a queen size bed but only had a full size bed. I would recommend it to friends especially those who enjoy golf, since you are right by a course. It was quiet and I will definitely go there again.

Nice setting for trip to Galena, Illinois. Very nice to be back in the woods.

Room was ready 30 minutes before check-in time. We were offered a free upgrade on arrival.

While the hotel was ok, Expedia totally misled us in the reservation process. The prroperty was listed as a two room bungalow, but required filling two separate spaces titled "room" resulting n the renting of TWO BUNGALOWS at an exorbitant price. I cannot but conclude that I was the victim of a hoax

The hotel was lovely and appointed well. However, the ice machine was out of order, there were no microwave in the rooms several areas around the stairwells were in much need of rust removal and painting. Lastly, for a room holding four guests, towels were in short supply.

Bathroom was like the 20 th hole. Terrible bath. When I moved the chair it appeared the room had not been cleaned for months. For these rates I require much more. My family will not return.

We were in town for a wedding and couldn't be happier that we picked Eagle Ridge to stay at. The condo was comfortable, clean, and an amazing view of the golf course. Being able to sit on the deck and have coffee was perfect. Eagle Ridge will be our first pick when we stay in Galena.

Requested change of room SM31 the first night. After airing out for hours & wiping everything down a few times, decided to request a room change. Room was expensive, yet, outdated, smelled musty and moldy and shower was horrible.Pet hair on the sofa & carpeting smelled like it had water damage. Ended up asking for a room change after hours of trying to make it smell... fresh. Second room they gave us was great SM1, updated, no carpeting, clean furniture, LOVELY. Stayed in different room another night because SM1 was booked The bathroom was tiny & difficult to move around in & I & my partner are both petite! Patio chairs were uncomfortable. Final room was one of the round houses. We were so excited to stay there because it's so cute & secluded... however, walked in & again, carpeting smelled like it had water damage. The sofas smelled musky and moldy. We cleaned surfaces, started pot of coffee in hopes of getting rid of the smell. We aired it out, and considered driving to Piggly Wiggly for Fabrese spray for the carpeting & sofa. However, ended up requesting a refund at that time. The staff was nice, but we were tired of having to pack up & move. Location is beautiful but wish they'd update some of their rooms. For the price, you'd expect the rooms to be updated & have carpeting removed if not shampooed regularly. Petfriendly rooms shouldn't have fabric sofas or carpeting. Should also be forewarned if pet friendly rooms. I have allergies & wasn't asked if pet friendly was ok

Outside of Galena it's like a little mini town you got your food activities things to do for all ages little events and a little shop so you can get things so you didn't even have to go into town staff was wonderful had a great experience.
