Check in clerk very accommodating. Friendly. Clean facility. No complaints.

It was easy to get to off of the interstate and the staff was nice. It is VERY dated and old. For example, the door to our bathroom wouldn’t stay shut because of the handle, and everything had a “lived in” odor. Breakfast options were lacking, ended up at Bob Evans across the street.

Location

The bed was hard and squeaky. People stood outside of my window at 10 pm and talked and smoked. Same in the morning. The hotel should have a designated smoking area.

Pictures online made it look like a cutesy little boutique motel with flowers and clean rooms. When we arrived we were unpleasantly surprised. The door to our room was stuck so we had to shoulder the door to open it. A light switch was half hanging out of the wall. The AC was dripping badly so there was a towel under it that had been there a while since it made it smell badly like mildew.

The staff at the front desk was nice.

The room, however, was not satisfactory as there were what appeared to be blood stains on the pillow and bedding. The toilet seat was also not secured.

The room I stayed in was your typical hotel room look online. Once going in smelled and felt very mildewy. The bathroom smell was worse. My remote for the tv was completely broken meaning the two plastic pieces fell apart as soon as i grabbed it to turn the tv on it was hanging on by the wiring for the electrical remote board. I also noticed one of the panels to the light wiring under a night stand was just laying there propped up against the hole. I took photos just incase! Workers were nice and respectful.

I did not receive a smoke-free room. It was so bad, I had trouble breathing the air. We went out and bought disinfectant air freshener to try to help, but it did not help at all. The sheets and towels were scratchy, the floor in the room was sticky, the air conditioner made a rattling noise, and the breakfast area was far too small. Also, none of the staff monitored the food and drink situation - I had to ring bell at front desk to ask them for eggs and sausage. I will never stay at a Red Roof in again and I'm not sure if I'll continue to use Expedia if I can't trust the rating system.
