I came to Pier South while my home was under renovation, but sadly just got my last week. This gorgeous hotel is so unique and perfect in every way. VIEWS. VIEWS. VIEWS. from the pier all the way to Point Loma. Private, huge balconies to enjoy the white water, surfers, sea birds and of course, sunset!! The staff, from the awesome front desk, to the friendly maid service and everyone else i interacted with. There is also a Sammy's Woodfired downstairs with happy hour from 4-8 every. Single. Day. That was a great place to unwind, meet friends and enjoy the sunset and beach vibes. Was able to get it and walk the pier and the beach every day. Dont forget the pool, jacuzzi and amazing D'ames spa right downstairs!! A real gem that i don't think you can find anywhere else!!! Do yourself a favor and book. I had THE best staycation of my life!!

The resort was lovely and the location was perfect! Staying right on the beach with an oceanfront view was priceless and relaxing. The suite was spacious and comfortable. Free street parking was easy to find. Lots of close yummy food options too! Good value for the price paid. The room was clean. Technically, you can hear people walking by with luggage or carts in the hallway but it didn’t affect our sleep. Front desk service by manager Hamayoon was splendid! Emeli and Oziel were very welcoming.

I stayed at the Pier South Resort (Marriott Autograph Collection) on 8 Feb 26. My reservations were from 8-12 Feb 26, but I checked out early because the room was a disaster including rust everywhere (see attached pictures) as well as the balcony. When I brought this to the attention of the Front Desk Manager (Hamayoon) and the entire front desk staff -- no one saw any issues or tried to correct the situation. They just doubled down... as a matter of fact - I've been trying to get in touch with the General Manager for over a week, and he is yet to return my phone call. Which speaks to the obvious lack of leadership, and why they were so disrespected at check in/out including the House Keeping Manger (Elihu or Elihy) who snapped because he thought he was being recorded during check in... Again, I called this morning (17 Feb 26) -- and I am still getting disrespected by “unprofessional" Front Desk personnel that appear to have never been trained in customer service/de-escalation. I left the GM a VM this morning (I don’t expect a phone call back). Side Note: I am a retired veteran – so I have stayed at hundreds of hotels, and this is only my 3rd. Which speaks directly about the terrible living conditions here. When I asked for a refund based on the reasons mentioned above to include showing them the attached pictures –Hamayoon ask “if they gave me a refund would I still post a negative review” -- and of course I said yes…probably why I have not received any type of refund or compensation. Lot to be said here but will save my energy for my next steps. Just wanted the folks thinking about staying here to be aware of recent issues/concerns.

What a beautiful hotel, the view the staff, the restaurant staff! The food Sammy’s was amazing! I can’t wait to come back.

I would like to come more often so I would say, lower the price

Absolutely loved our stay! The room was clean, the staff super friendly and the view from our room was amazing. If you are looking for a beach town experience, this is it!

Really good experience, very respectful,clean and really good food on restaurant, lobby person very helpful guy. I will be back for sure
