Great location and amazing hotel overall! Emily was very helpful and helped a lot with booking and rooms. I’ll definitely come back and giving 10/10 to Emeli! Great job to to our business trip easier and more comfy :) Rooms are great, atmosphere is friendly and fresh. Clean and nice hotel and amazing location once again!

I recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a very pleasant experience. The property itself is beautiful, clean, and well-maintained, and the room was comfortable with all the amenities I needed. Most of the stay felt relaxing and enjoyable. There were a couple of issues, though. I felt that the receptionist was a bit rude during check-in, which made the arrival experience less welcoming than expected. I also had a concern with the valet service — after getting my car back, I noticed some of my cigarettes were missing. I can’t say for certain what happened, but it left me uneasy about the valet process. Aside from those points, everything else was great, and the hotel itself is genuinely nice. With a bit more attention to customer service, it could easily be a perfect stay.

I am always amazed by the tranquility at Pier South Resort. It truly feels like a perfect slice of Coronado Island. Their ocean-view suites offer breathtaking sunrise and sunset views; my absolute favorite part of staying here. This was my second stay, during my birthday celebration, and the team went above and beyond to make it special. A heartfelt thank you to Emeli at the front desk, whose handwritten note, drinks, and cupcake with a candle made my day and genuinely warmed my heart. When I first arrived, I was checked in by Jess, who made sure to follow up on my stay. She also introduced me to bellman Ozzy, whose kindness and assistance with my luggage were outstanding. I enjoyed a fabulous dinner at Roppongi, where Maxine provided exemplary service; attentive to every need while offering excellent menu suggestions and explanations. It was a beautiful, memorable dinner-by-the-sea experience. The entire F&B team here is stellar. Javier was wonderful to chat with while grabbing breakfast on my final day, and Daniel assisted me with check-out, greeting me with the biggest smile the entire time. If you’re ever in the San Diego or Coronado Island area, make sure to check out Pier South Resort. While the stunning island views always bring me back, it’s the top-notch service and genuine kindness from everyone here that keep me returning time and time again.

Great service and friendly staff. Beautiful scenery and a nice break from busy downtown. The rooms were large and the views were great. Front Desk Staff was excellent, helpful and very accommodating.

Toller Ausblick aus dem Zimmer bzw. vom Balkon. Sehr reichhaltiges und leckeres Frühstück.

Leider waren die Flure hell erleuchtet. Dadurch dass es zum Zimmer eine Glastür gab und auch das Schlafzimmer sich nicht gut abdunkeln ließ, war es die ganze Nacht im Schlafzimmer viel zu hell. Das war leider sehr störend und ärgerlich.

The staff , valet , rooms and Sammy’s restaurant were outstanding . The room to ocean view was beautiful and rooms very clean and comfortable . My only dislike was the bright hallway lights shunning in the glass doors and bathroom window . This eliminated my room like it was daylight all night. This would be my only complaint that needs to be addressed as may people I saw hang sheets on door to block the hall lights.

Always love this place. Great spot. Coat, killer beach views. But the people set them apart. Always friendly and helpful. Big shout out to Emili at the front desk, as well as valet staff, restaurant crew, housekeeping and maintenance!

My wife and I stayed at Pier South Resort 2 nights in September 2025. The room and the view were great. The beach was clean and scenic. Contact with the surf was a no-go due to being in close proximity to the Tijuana River's outflow. I paid in advance for our stay at a marginal discount through our USAA insurance company and showed the receipt to the hotel's front desk upon checking in. Following our stay, I found that the hotel had charged us again for the same stay. I called the hotel multiple times over several weeks to request they reverse their charge. The manager was never available and her e-mail box was always full, so she couldn't/wouldn't accept messages. The front desk finally e-mailed me a statement showing a credit to my card. As of November 1st, however, they still have not contacted Citibank to initiate the refund.
