"Faulty Towers ?"

6.0

The hotel need to close and have a full refurbishment.one presumes they do not or can not get an alcohol licence as bar only sold soft drinks and coffee. The windows in our room were filthy and one of the chairs was ripped exposing the padding and the carpet was worn exposing the thread of weave. The staff were pleasant and polite . Our bathroom was nicely tilled with mould on sections of the silicon. Tea and coffee were supplied in the room and the hotel had a swimming pool which we did not visit. The hotel overall is very very dated and does not warrant the charge per room per night.

The hotel was not like the photos as they made it look a lot classier, the hotel was very dated, ceiling tiles missing, threadbare carpets, very creaky floorboards. The beds however were very comfy and there was plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits. The pool was nice, gym very rough and ready and the steam sauna addquate. Breakfast was limited with a choice of sausage, scrambled eggs and bacon (veg sausage on request, but not very nice), toast, croissant, cereal and tinned fruit. The hotel needs a lot of money spending on it, it could be very nice indeed . Not really worth the money but i think you pay for the location as it is a short walk to the railway station, town and beach. Staff very friendly and are doing a great job.

"Don’t bother"

4.0

We stayed overnight on our way to the airport and wish we hadn’t bothered spending almost £100 for the privilege Very outdated and a tiny room However the staff were friendly and the bathroom was clean .This was probably an ordinary room so I can’t comment if you book a superior or suite however the outside of the hotel and the common areas like reception and hallway need refurbishment BADLY

"August Summer Holiday Away"

10.0

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel for 4 nights. We were Bed & Breakfast. Check in was excellent as we arrived earlier than the check in time but our room was made available within 10 minutes. Twin room we had was clean and tidy. The room was one used by the disabled, so it was large and roomy. Large dining room. Breakfast each morning was adequate. Both continental and a few hot plate choices of bacon, sausage, scrambled egg and hash browns, with juices, tea and coffee a plenty. Bar area was nice. The gym, pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna were all excellent, nice to relax and unwind there after being out walking all day, although the gym area and changing rooms could do with a bit of modernisation as they looked a little dated. Overall an enjoyable stay. Staff were all courteous and couldn’t do enough for you. Would definitely stay there again. Thank you.

Breakfast sausage bacon and scrambled egg- continental croissant and yogurt! Hotel very very tired but clean. Staff helpful and friendly! Found out the hotel is being knocked down and to be apartments! Very sad to see this happen to what was once a lovely hotel!
