Devonshire House Hotel

Bed was very uncomfortable The bathroom amenities was terrible Bedroom was just disappointing

Good value for money and excellent condition of room. I have stayed here many times. My only complaint is the smell of cigarettes you sometimes get in the rooms.

Nice hotel location great

Room lacked life, bed was tiny, bathroom was stinking the entire time. Good points, we didn’t pay a great deal so were satisfied with what we had. Could have done with a real good clean and modernised

Rooms were clean and food was good service was good

The location was ideal but the mattress could have been better.

There were a few offputting things about the hotel. It was a bit shoddy and run down. You could wait 10-15 minutes ringing the bell for someone to arrive at reception. I paid for 2 double rooms, however I was given one single and one double due to some sort of oversight. The breakfast was minimal and not great quality. My door card kept failing and I had to go down to the reception on numerous occasions to get it reactivate it. The lift was so slow, that you had to use the stairs. The staff were friendly. Finally, the “automatic” doors of the hotel had to be forced open from the outside.

The place needs a visit from the Hotel Inspector. Paid for breakfast but it finished at 9 am, no one told us ! More of a hostel than hotel.

Hotel requires major update. Very poor room quality Bar glasses were dirty and not washed. Has lipstick on it. Pictures of the rooms on the website are very misleading.

Nice hotel, nice room, hotel is a little tired in areas but still lovely place. Bistro staff at breakfast were exceptionally slow and had to speak to another member of staff for service.
