The Presidential Beijing

I booked this hotel for my parents, they felt lovely in the hotel.

We spent four nights in this hotel and over all were not impressed. The initial impression was alright...doormen, bellmen and concierge were friendly and attentive. The front desk staff were very professional and polite, although some of them were definitely lacking in English competence. The lobby area itself was lovely and beautifully decorated for Christmas. Our room was large and reasonably comfortable, although the temperature control did not seem to work and it was extremely warm in the room. We finally resorted to leaving a window cracked open to let in cold air to even out the temperature in the room. The room, however, really looked like it was in need of a refit. Wood furniture had splits, the marble around the bathroom was faded and/or stained most likely from minerals in the water and the faucet was also badly stained. The impression was that this hotel may have been "Presidential" at one time, but that time is long past. The included breakfast had good variety but seemed mass produced and unimaginative. We tried the hotel restaurant a couple of evenings and found the buffet to be ridiculously expensive and a poor value and the a la carte menu didn't offer a lot. Unfortunately we didn't find many eateries close to the hotel either. Over all, this hotel served us reasonably well but didn't really live up to its billing or our expectations.

Went there with a couple of friends. We all had to request to have our rooms changed due to dirty bathrooms. The second room I got had clear signs of water damage on the ceilings and walls. The facets looked like they hadn't been cleaned for months. The heat in the room was incredibly high causing nose bleeds. On one occasion I requested if I could have my leftovers microwaved in their kitchen as the room did not have a microwave, but I was denied. They told me McDonald's would be open and to go eat there. It was 11 at night and 30 degrees fahrenheit. I walked half a mile to mcdonald's only to find out it was cold. I would not recommend staying here. It is also far from most of the sites in Beijing.

住宿的第一天就發現桌燈和總控制儀表板壞了，有反應給總機，服務人員1個小時後才來處理⋯有告知會出門，服務人員說他們會自己進來換，也沒問行不行！！ 後來出門回來，總控制儀是換了，但桌燈還是壞！就這樣壞了6天都沒換⋯

每一次到北京出差都選這酒店，地點較便利，臨近地鐵站，但今次所入住的酒店較舊，希望可以改善一下。

但方圖百里都沒有什麼夜市，晚上只好叫外送～其他沒有什麼太特別！仲有可唔可以唔好叫人打咁多字，因為真係無咩野好講～

酒店衛生不錯，有幾個比較高檔的宴會廳,整體來說有些老舊，但每件東西都還可以接受。 飯店早餐不錯吃，自己非常享受這裏的早餐。品種繁多，每天都有不同的花樣。新鮮果汁很可口。

나름 만족했습니다.

The location is great. It would be better if the hotel could improve the bathroom fittings and the boiler.

Not a good hotel to stay.
