Choice Hotels seem to be going downhill and this one was the latest example. When I checked-in I had to acknowledge that I read the "rules" and one of those was a $100.00 deposit that would be charged and refunded to my credit card. I understand the need, but being a Choice Rewards member, I did not expect it. The desk clerk did not speak English very well which can be annoying. I get to my room, and even though this is a NO SMOKING hotel, I found a used cigarette butt in the toilet. Since the room was made-up, I have to assume that the housekeeping staff smoked in the room, and did not have enough courtesy to flush the evidence when they finished. The "rules" explained that there would be no maid service each day, but when I returned to my room the first day I was there, I found lights turned on that were off when I left... but nothing was done to make-up the room. I guess someone wanted to see what I brought with me??? I will look for other options the next time I am in Norwalk, OH.

First night, the air wasn't working and the attendant came right to the room and was able to fix it... She was very sweet, concerned about our stay/comfort, and very helpful

The shower curtain is as moldy all across the bottom, there was coffee left in the coffee maker, the bottom around the toilet was filthy and we had to have them come up 3 times to fix the air conditioner. The gal at the front desk was awesome!!

It is ok

Some areas could use a good cleaning,but overall it was clean. Security issue. The doors had tape over the locking latch. Anyone could walk in at any time. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Would consider staying there again should I be traveling to the area.

Staff bad kicked us out of rooms / double charged other ppl with us

DO NOT STAY HERE. By far the worst customer service experience i have ever had. I booked a room then called weeks in advance to cancel. The hotel staff messed up the cancellation so i was still charged and they refuse to refund me. They ran my card without consent even though the receipt says "PAID AT HOTEL". They are scammers. When I called the hotel to remedy the situation the man working the front desk proceeded to yell and berate me. He was frightening and I would never feel safe staying there. Not to mention there are a ton of reviews of BED BUGS!

The hotel was quiet but very dated and in need of some maintenance but mainly a good cleaning.
