Great breakfast. Clean room and friendly staff.

We had a room facing the pool. Would not recommend this. Music played all night long at the pool. The beat/sound kept us awake. Dont understand why this was necessary. Complained and all they did was turn down the volume.

Location was excellent, 5 minutes to get to the Ringling Museum, all sorts of restaurants within a mile or two. The room was quiet and we got a good night's rest, just what we needed after a day of sightseeing.

I was unable to connect my tablet to the unsecured network, that was frustrating. And I have to say that the breakfast situation was not optimal, way too many unruly kids running wild, touching everything with their fingers, throwing tantrums in the dining room. Let's just say that could be handled a lot better. I love kids, but they don't need to get their way all the time, especially not in a hotel setting.

I want to start by saying the front desk and staff are very kind and helpful. Upon arriving, we chose to switch rooms twice due to the AC not functioning properly and the smell of stale smoke/mold. A few flies were located within the bathroom sink of our room, and the TV screen was burned in three spots, making it difficult to watch, see pictures below. The AC is not adjusted with a wall mount rather on the actual unit itself. Our room was also missing inner curtains, and only had one set of the thick pull drapes. The entire hotel smelled of a chemical, similar to bug spray, I also located a roach in the hallway near our room. This property is not up to par for a SpringHill Suites nor what we are usually accustomed to. Unfortunately, we will stay elsewhere next time.

My family booked a room at this location and was very disappointed in the upkeep of the property. The front doors were off track, rooms had dated furniture, the bathroom smelled like urine, and the water smelled like dirty pipes./.

It was a wonderful place. Quiet. Convenient. Good breakfast. Reasonable for price.
