If the basics are all you need—a good night's rest, a well-heated room, a good location, and safety—then the Comfort Inn Gunnison will be an acceptable place to stay. However, if you are expecting more, consider staying elsewhere. Showers: The water temperature was lukewarm, and the pressure was minimal. Noise: Avoid getting a room on the second floor above the swimming pool on the first floor, as the boiler is noisy. It took three attempts to get the staff to turn off the boiler after the pool closed. If you find yourself in this situation, use noise-canceling headphones or earplugs to sleep better. Breakfast: Gluten-free options are limited. It might be better to go out for breakfast. Maintenance: There was a large stain on the carpet in my room. The hotel should either steam clean the carpets or replace them.

Not hotels fault but it was filled with college wrestling teams. They were very loud, up late and up early next morning. My room was directly above gym, where the boys were on treadmills non stop! Very loud and annoying. Not to mention next to elevator. I got no sleep and had traveled 3 hours to Gunnison to work all day and drive 3 hours back. Exhausted! Only good thing was very comfy bed.

We had ZERO hot water in our room. The woman doing breakfast and cleaning was AMAZING. No hot shower was awful! Hot tub was not hot either.

The aren’t a lot of choices in Gunnison. I would put the Comfort Inn at the top. Friendly and helpful staff, free shuttle to the airport if needed. Decent breakfast.
