Village Hotel Birmingham Dudley

Sadly, I booked the hotel for my husband who was attending a funeral of a friend from the area and the wake was held at the hotel. We did not know what to expect but my husband was very impressed with the standard of the hotel and the price was very reasonable.

The room was tired, and the place was fairly worn out. I used the health club but was charged £5 for a locker padlock ( they had no complimentary ones for guests). The changing rooms similarly tired. The sauna was out of action and not due for repair for a few weeks. I ate in the restaurant and they had no coke (only diet or zero). The room itself was At the far end of the building so nice and quiet but could do with a freshen up Breakfast selection was standard but the staff took 10 mins to notice me waiting Suffice to say I’m not recommending the village Dudley … shame I love the ones in Glasgow and Edinburg

Very relaxing what ever your staff may be..pleasure,wotrk related. My only low point was,,only 1 chair in a double room plus toilet very low for a person. Disabled

Room was spacious, with a lovely view & great amenities. Very comfortable bed & selection of pillows. Full length mirror. Heating & fans were very useful. Requested more hangers as we only had four & were staying for 2 nights. A propper coffee machine made me very happy as im not a fan of instant however, a selection of decaf teas & coffees would have been nice. Breakfast was delicious with lots of variety & the chef made me a fried egg as im not a fan of scrambled. I left my key card in our room & was given a replacement immediately. As a smoker, it was very lovely to find designated areas outside on the terrace. The staff are very welcoming & accommodating.

We stayed for 2 nights & they offer a freshen up service, which we requested. I had a fever during the night & the bed was soaking wet. The bed was made but not with fresh clean bedding. Our glasses & cups were not renewed with clean ones. They forgot to restock our coffee & water. A full cup of milky coffee was by the entrance on our floor, near the lift for 2 days. However, our room was spotless aswell as the entire hotel.

The bath/shower had no grab handles or non slip bath mats, When we asked a member of staff for one, we were told there was a one in the room. We said that there wasn't one, she just dismissed it and walked away.
