The Westin Poinsett, Greenville

We absolutely love staying at the The Westin Poinsett. The rooms are always spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The bar is wonderful, and the staff consistently goes above and beyond. On one visit, the valet even gave us a little golf cart tour of Greenville while driving us, simply because he was happy to show us around. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made the trip even more memorable. My daughter is a freshman at Clemson University, and since we travel from Charleston to see her at least once a month, we stay here often. Every visit leaves us feeling relaxed and happy we chose this hotel. The rooms are clean and beds like heaven. One stay did present a challenge. I booked two adjoining rooms because my parents were with me & are elderly and disabled. Unfortunately, there was a mix-up and they were placed in a room with a bathtub instead of the ADA-accessible room I had specifically requested. At the time, it left a pretty bad taste in my mouth. I asked to speak with a manager and was referred to Jay who stepped in and worked to make everything right. Jay has the patience of a saint. She is incredibly professional and truly cares about her guests. Because of her, we decided to stay again—and I’m so glad we did. On our most recent trip to Greenville, Jay spent nearly 30 minutes with my adult son & I helping us understand rewards points & making sure we were set up for the best possible experience. Even after what was clearly a long day, she made us feel like the most valued guests she had (as she always does). Have a night cap at the bar. The bartenders are all fantastic & we always enjoy the people we meet while sipping a cocktail & relaxing from the day. Breakfast in the restaurant is delicious, the hostess always remembers us & Tess makes us feel like family. A small note for future guests: you may hear a bit of street noise or music at night, and if you’re visiting during the early morning farmers market, sleeping in might not be in the cards (I LOVE the farmers markets here). small trade-offs (if your bothered by this type of thing) for staying in such a vibrant part of Greenville. oh! And the rooms don’t have microwaves (but you can request them and one will be delivered to your room) Thank you to everyone at the Westin Poinsett for the care and effort you put into making each stay special. It never goes unnoticed.

What a surprise to be congratulated on my upcoming birthday. Only to be further surprised to find a huge piece of carrot cake ( birthday cake) in our room to share with my wife after seeing play at Peace Center. It made my day after the past year of recovery from back surgery. I told young lady checking in that the Westin is my favorite hotel in Greenville, SC. I really meant it and look forward to coming back.

It was an amazing experience. From pulling into valet to walking up to the desk, Kaitlyn at the desk greeting me with a smile and was truly wonderful. The room was amazing and cozy. The bar was also great as well!

We love this Westin and stay here every time we are in town to see a show at the Peace center. The rooms are spacious and clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Room service is quick and convenient for a late night snack after the show as well. Highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is exceptionally clean and the staff is wonderful. We had a beautiful room overlooking Main Street. The valet service is top notch as well. Will be staying again for sure. Highly recommend.

While it's a beautiful property in a great location, a recent conference experience delivered the worst customer service. We booked rooms as part of a conference block months in advance, yet 16 attendees had to be sent six miles away to another, inferior hotel because the HOTEL OVERBOOKED and did not honor our reservation. The hotel did provide the other property free of charge and presented snacks to us to make up for the mistake. However, the worst part of the experience was that the hotel staff failed to accomodate needs that resulted from the overbooking. Because we did not have a room during the conference sessions, we requested a quiet space to get on an important conference call and were told there was no space available. However, several conference spaces set completely empty during the time we needed a room. It would have taken little effort for them to allow us to use one small meeting space for a couple hours (which we only needed because they did not provide us the rooms we had reserved). The lack of customer service trying to make things right after their mistake was the point I realized the customer service at this hotel is not sufficient.

Staff was superb and made our stay very enjoyable and comfortable. Great location and close to restaurants and attractions.

We celebrated our daughter’s 50th birthday at The Westin Poinsett, and it was truly a magical evening. Everything was flawless from start to finish. Savannah, the Executive Meeting Manager, was amazing and ensured every detail was perfect. Beth, Director of Banquet Operations, graciously accommodated last-minute room layout changes and made the space absolutely perfect. Audrey, our bartender, and Daijah, our server, were outstanding — warm, attentive, and quickly felt like family. The service, atmosphere, and coordination exceeded all expectations. An unforgettable night we will cherish forever. Highly recommend for any special occasion
