Marriott's Legends Edge at Bay Point

Clean and nice room

First night was rough , our next room neighbor was very loud. We have to call the front desk

All amenities are closed, never disclosed. At check in we were told we were waitlisted for our suite and hopefully we would get it. Requested high floor away from elevator, got middle floor next to elevator. Biggest gripe is resort made absolutely no effort to find activity options for guests, none! Old dated rooms as well. Avoid this place

Room subpar, every amenity closed and found out after booking, unable to change. Staff unpleasant and need binoculars to see the water on a waterfront property per the literature. Balcony door glued shut and sprained finger trying to pry open. Would not recommend as inferior to other Marriott properties. Does not represent the brand.

Very nice facility.

The grout on the bathroom floors is extremely dirty. I had to buy shower shoes so my feet wouldn’t touch the bathroom floor.

We spent five nights at Marriott Legends Edge at Bay Point at the beginning of November. Our two bedroom villa was spacious, welcoming, spotless and very bright and cheery. We were in the Azalea building and had a great view It would have been nice to have the pool open but we knew when booking it was being remodeled so we were good with that. Everyone at the Legends was friendly and helpful. A shoutout goes to Debbie (the concierge) who suggested some great places to eat and also to Lisa who is part of the Activities Team. We only did one of the activities but every time we saw her she stopped to chat with us and asked if we needed anything. Both are an asset to the Legends. We had not spent timenice in the Panama City area of Florida before but enjoyed our five night visit. It was not having the huge crowds and traffic jams that we here are there in the summer months. We especially enjoyed our dinner at Uncle Ernie's - good food and beautiful sunset. Captain Anderson's was close to the Legends and had good seafood.

I love how safe it was. I didn't like the fact that the main reason we chose this location (which was the lagoon pool) was closed). I was so looking forward to enjoying the pool with my husband.

We visited this vacation club for one night just to explore it for future vacation purposes for our family. We were aware that the entire pool complex was closed for renovation, but we wanted to see what the property offered as a resort destination. Unfortunately, we were assigned to a Room with no view at all, and with all of the splash pad equipment piled against the screens of the lanai during renovations. I think there is a nice view higher up, but I would not know based on my first floor room assignment. It is a small property with only two buildings and no food service of any kind. If you are on a high floor, I believe you would have a view of the water and sunset. Also, there was a very very annoying sound which sounded like a pump or the kind of sound that gives you a headache, which started at 6 AM. We were in the Azalea building on the first floor. I could not have tolerated that sound for a week … or even a day. I really wanted to like it because I am a Marriott vacation club owner in Hawaii and enjoy all of their other locations but this one just sort of escapes me. If you have a high room with a view and you don’t have whatever that horrible sound was and you don’t care if there’s no food service I guess you might like it.

I traded my Marriott timeshare week at another property through Interval to come here. I was not made aware of the construction prior to arrival. The entire pool area is ripped apart from head to toe - jackhammers going throughout the day. The property is nothing but two buildings of rooms at the moment. Originally I was supposed to stay for two weeks but upon arrival and because of the construction I retraded the second week to Hilton Head Island and drove there - it was about an 8 hour drive. Much better experience there. Stay away until the construction is over - they said it should be done in January 2025.
