Sam's Town Hotel & Casino, Shreveport

The front desk and restaurant staff members were very friendly. The bed/mattress & pillows were uncomfortable. The room did not have a microwave or fridge.

Fantastic service. Room was large, clean with great furniture and conveniences. Loved the bed, pillows, towels, etc.

For this to be an four star hotel, I find it very disturbing that in the rooms there is no microwave to heat food in the rooms…that they only had one wheelchair for wheelchair use, and not to mention being charged for it also. The room only had one face towel and one dry off towel. Never had anyone to come clean the room up in our two day stay.

Great Hotel & Casino

This Hotel/Casino was one of the biggest and nicest buildings in the area but all i can say that was good about it was that the rooms were reasonably priced. First, this hotel/casino resort barely had any staff around and it seemed they didnt want to do absolute no more than the minimum requirement for their job. They also had homeless people coming inside and hanging around in the lobby chairs and also in the bar area coming up to guests asking for money. The hotel only gave us a 10 dollar room credit to use in one of their eating establishments. Then they didnt even have microwaves in the rooms or anywhere for the guests to use at all. They didnt offer any type of complimentary water or coffee anywhere. They didnt even have water fountains nor any vending machines anywhere. If you wanted water to drink or any snacks you had to pay an exorbitant price at one of the dining establishments down in the main lobby area. Also the rooms were warm and humid all dat and barely any better all night. The A/C didnt seem to blow any colder or faster no matter how much you lowered the thermostat. I was entirely disappointed with almost everything about our stay here. Will pay the extra cost and stay at boomtown next time

When i booked my stay, through Expedia, i was given what i would be charged ($139) which would not hit my visa card until l reached the hotel on September 18th. I was alao charged $30 & change for the protection of my room. Bothe amounts hit my visa card days befor i made it there. My visa statement shows that Sam's Town charged me the $139 not Expedia but the supervisor argued with me that it was Expedia. I politely let her know i retird after 37 years at a bank. I am still upser, i intend to go further with this & i feel you all owe me compensation.
