Hellidon Lakes Golf & Spa Hotel

Facilities were great,lots to do and a stunning location.

Rooms were dated and communal areas all in need of modification, rooms were extremely hot, even though a fan was provided,I didn’t sleep all night sadly

Room lacked quality air conditioning Breakfast excellent Food for other meals good- excellent Pizza Bar service a little slow

Fantastic hotel. Well signposted, good, secure car park, very welcoming, room was excellent.

It was extremely hot in the room. To be fair, it was a heatwave outside and a fan was provided, so the hotel had done all they could.

The View was outstanding, the best ever. We arrived late because the second room was supposed to be for my mother and she was taken ill. We were too late for the restaurant but we could get hot food from the bar and it was delicious. So helpful.

There was a problem with the water either extremely hot or no water at all. It was clearly a big problem for them and they were sorting it out.

Breakfast was ok buffet cooked breakfast and little cold but ok

The rooms could have been a bit cleaner cobwebs etc no spare toilet paper abd less than half a roll the bar closed really early for a hotel.cols water not working for others so they had to utilise our shower

Beautiful views, peaceful location, room was ideal for us and easy access to function room. Hotel itself was clean, the bar staff were friendly, and there was lots of facilties to explore. Me, my husband and our young daughter had no major issues and, despite the heatwave, overall had a lovely stay.

Mis-communication on arrival about an extra bed charge being waivered, reception treated us like we were lying commoners and instantly went to get her manager, she was suprised when we showed an email as proof. Air con machine in room was creaky and wouldnt circulate properly. There were moths in the bathroom handtowel. Breakfast was extremely expensive, and again, on check out reception asked which room we were in and when I told her she gave an attitude of "good riddance". Would advise not to look down on guests who are not members of the gold club and who are genuinly grateful to spend some time together as a family in your venue.

Beautiful grounds and breakfast was a great standard.

Water supply issues - at times there wasn’t any cold water which meant the supply was boiling hot and at times we had no water supply in our room at all. I left some items behind in the room by mistake, called the reception on the same day to arrange collection and was told that nothing had been handed in by housekeeping and there wasn’t anything they can do.

Breakfast was good. Lady on breakfast in a morning was very cheery and really pleasant. Room was good. Rust came out of the tap when I went to run a bath - so might be worthwhile running the tap from time to time to ensure that doesn't happen for other guests.

The bath took over an hour to run - the pressure needs to be better. This was disappointing especially as I'd wanted a room with a bath.
