Kona Coast Resort

The pool was really good and my granddaughter really enjoyed herself. As it was the weekend before her birthday and that is the reason we were there. She enjoyed herself and we made it as enjoyable for her as possible.

The only thing that we didn't really like is that we were unable to stay at the pool after we have already checked out of our room. Other than that we had an excellent stay and made the most of what we could.

Dont like the sale

The rooms are very well maintained. We had a King bedroom and 2 bathrooms plus a full kitchen and living room. The grounds are beautiful. The family pool was a little too busy for us but it's mostly the parents fault as there were kids under 2 in the hot tub and preteens eating and drinking in the hot tub. Fortunately, they have 2 other hot tubs we could use for a quieter experience. Also the family hot tub thermometer read only 88 degrees.

We didn't like the sales pressure. From the second we checked in, the sales shpeal started from touring other timeshare facilities to signing up for tours. Even when we said 'no' they kept pushing. We were tired from our travels and just wanted to get to our room, so we ended up signing up for a tour just so we could get to our room. We decided not to go on the tour after reading online reviews and got charged $40 for missing the tour!!

This place was great. Had a ton of activities for family. The pool was nice and clean. I would beware of the timeshare people making the activities there. Maybe just call the activity you want to do yourself.

This Resort is perfect for a Family Vacation. The units are large, well-appointed and the facilities are excellent. The only caveat I could mention is that there is a daily 'electricity charge' which I would recommend any visitor to agree to pay because the Big Island at Kona can be very hot and humid, Barry

Well kept grounds, workout facilities, very spacious rooms and very clean.

Great Service, pool & spa were nice.

Toilet was a bit to low or should of had a grab bar. Carpet was a bit old.

The unit smelled like piss upon arrival. We could not figure out where the smell was coming from for a while, but it turned out to be the pool towels they left in the room for us. When we told them about this, they were at best indifferent, but they did send new towels
