Kona Coast Resort

Aloha Marvin Tabios, Portia and Jessica... We had the best time visiting the Big Island because your service was excellent and outstanding!!! All of you were knowledgeable and helpful and friendly. Marvin... special thanks for the information about speed limits while driving around Kona. :-) Portia... special thanks for making check-in so easy. Jessica... special thanks for the welcome package and informing us about things to do around Kona. Mahalo for the extra kindness and making us feel special, like Ohana!!! The resort was perfect... parking was easy, everything we needed was in our room. It was awesome for 5-nights in Kona. The bed was really comfortable and we slept so well!! We especially enjoyed using Netflix.

We had RCI points that were about to expire and were able to use most of them to get into this fine resort. Restaurant on-site was very convenient and decent. HUGE 1-bedroom ensuite, full-size kitchen, full-size dining room, full-size living room, SECOND bath with walk-in shower off the kitchen.

Pretty outdated Wyndham resort. About 45 minutes away from everything on the island. No real views except for at the pool itself. No where to sit and watch the sunset even. Bushes block the view from the 1 place you can watch which has 4 seats. No filtered water anywhere besides at the welcome center which can be a long walk from rooms at the top of the property. $23 a day for air conditioning which is not included in your stay. The air conditioning also shuts off every 4 hours or so. If you go out for a long day at the beach or exploring, you come back and the room is hot. Floors are thin, if you stay ask for a room on the top floor or you will be up all night even if the people above you are only walking around. Residents also live here which causes lots of noise with their home renovation projects. Pool was closed 2 days to clean the stones, with no warning to anyone staying here.

It is very clean and the staff are friendly and polite. They try their best to help me. I like the hot tub.
