Barceló Aruba - All Inclusive

My wife and I spent a week in Aruba at the Barcelo Aruba resort. We really enjoyed the time there, weather was perfect, good food and a a relaxing atmosphere.

Jonathan was very attentive and very friendly. Food was ok.

The resort was everything I expected. I depended on past reviews and it did not disappoint. The friendliness of all of the staff was amazing. The entire resort was very inviting. Highly recommend!

It was overpriced for all inclusive and it really wasn't all inclusive at all. You had to eat at the buffet before even trying the other restaurants and the other restaurants were booked anyway. We ended up going off property to have nice meals. I won't be staying here again.

Food is average at best. Paid for an ocean front room with balcony, but balcony was extremely narrow, had to angle the chair in order to sit in it. Cheap liquor. However, grounds were beautiful,staff hard working, resort was clean.

My wife and I had another wonderful stay at Barcelo. The facilities may be older but are very clean and the service is second to none. Barcelo is on the beach so you can go out straight the back to the beach or the pool that has a swim up bar. The sand on the beach is fine and great for laying or walking. If you are looking for nightlife you go out the front and there is plenty of restaurants, shops and clubs. We always go with the Royal Level upgrade. It is well worth the extra cost. Sandra, Veronica & Tash are true gems and go far above and beyond to make your stay special. Our days start with our trip to breakfast at the Royal Club restaurant. It offers a buffet or off the menu breakfast. At breakfast we are taken care of by Melvin, Maria, Jaime, Lissette Carolina & Karina. Every morning we are greeted by their friendly faces. Then it is off to the beach where the beach crew has set up the loungers. Again always giving you a friendly greeting and asking what they can do for us. We are served at the beach bar by Francesco. He goes out of his way to make sure your stay on the beach is the best. Always ready to make whatever drink you desire and always has a smile. When he is not there Omar fills in and he makes sure you are well taken care of. Both are amazing! After the beach we go to dinner at one of the restaurants. Doesn't matter which one they all have friendly service and great food. The Italian is our favorite. We did dinner on the beach one night and it was well worth the cost. Willie was the best. He made us feel like royalty and the food was great. On our anniversary we returned to our room after our day at the beach and found a wonderful surprise. The Royal Level team had left us a lovely anniversary card, bottle of champagne and a plate of chocolate covered strawberries. Another example of how they make your stay special. We ate at the Royal Club and as always they made sure our anniversary dinner was special. Barcelo is truly a wonderful place with wonderful people who really care about what they do be it cleaning, serving or preparing they are the best.
