Hyatt Regency Cleveland at The Arcade

The beds were absolutely wonderful -- super comfortable and clean. Location was close to the heart of the city, so if that's what you're looking for this is a great spot for that. The hilight of course is the lobby -- the architecture is historical and beautiful (although the majority of the stores are empty).

For the price of the room, the amenities were sincerely lacking. Fridge wasn't cold, the shower didn't drain properly, no free waters, and no place to put your luggage (a rack wouldn't be that great of an expense), and no closet. The "drawers" of the furniture fall out completely. For it being a "renovated room" it feels really outdated. You won't even have a kerig for your coffee fix, so expect to spend 20 bucks on 2 coffees downstairs. The lobby doesn't have a restroom available except in the restaraunt, so if you've been out all day and return at 10:10 pm don't try and use the lounge because the hotel staff will send out security to come pull you out of there. My wife had walked in at 9:50 (closes at 10) and they really sent a male security guard to walk in the bathroom and escort her out. He made sure to tell her she couldn't be in there, and how are we supposed to know that you ask? No clue. Anyway, she was embarrassed and they weren't very accommodating. The guy who checked us in on the first day was nice, but outside of that -- no smiles or hospitality. Expect to be treated like scolded children if you ask for anything. Also, question the safety of the area-- you will be approached for money, and possibly followed into the lobby (people will chase you into the hotel) so walk quickly and be aware of your surrounding. This is not an overexaggeration... there was a cop sent on site after multiple attempts had been made and this was on a Tuesday and wednesday, so I can't imagine how it could be on a saturday when people start drinking on 4th street. I'd reccomend staying somewhere else, but visiting the lobby during the day to soak in the beauty of it without hurting your wallet for a lackluster stay.

The rooms are okay, nothing luxury. The hotel is located in a central location in walking distance to most attractions, which is great. I liked that the hotel had a lot of history and if you exit from the front or the back, you will be a two different sides of the street. However the hotel is split in the middle, so just because you use exit 2, does not mean you can use that elevator to get to your room. There is a homeless issue in this area. As soon as you step outside, you are approached by 2 homeless people for every 5 steps you take. So if you have kids, that is something to think about. Most food places close at 8-9pm. The men at the front desk have the worst customer service from check in to checkout; however the women were pleasant and everyone else also. I was quoted x3 the daily rate by the FD male, so I booked online, which matched the price the woman provided during my call earlier. Prior to checkout, the cleaning service entered our room at 10am while a do not disturb sign was on the door, then 2x times after we already explained that we would checkout by 12pm. At 11am the male called the room to ask if we were leaving then hung up on me when I explained that we checkout was at noon. We checked out by noon, but felt rushed. There signs posted throughout the hotel encouraging guest to checkout at 10am to get their car out of valet in time, which explains the rush we felt for us to checkout earlier than anticipated. The FD male did not explain anything about the hotel, it was only upon checkout that there were printer flyers explaining the streets, food, and amenities.,etc. at minimum, the FD male could have provide us with a flyer. He just really gave the vibe that he did not want to book our stay. The parking is $57 per night, and we did use the valet option, but there are other parking options in walking distance charging a $12 daily rate. So even if you leave and come back twice, it’s less expensive than what the hotel charges. Overall it was a 6/10. I would rather explore another option when I revisit Cleveland.

Amazing hotel with prime location. In the top 5 best historic hotels I’ve stayed in across the USA. Well layed out and well preserved. The best views of lake eerie are from the rooms on superior street. The penthouse was great for entertaining. The rooms looking onto the arcade are like traveling through time back to 1890.

No tissues in the room and one roll toilet paper. I would think for the price per night. You guys could be little more generous with the little things

Beautiful, updated hotel in a wonderful historic building. Room and bath were clean, beds were very comfortable, staff were friendly. We had a city view room, and the view did not disappoint! Located near downtown attractions, of which there were many.

This is most beautiful hotel in the historic Cleveland Arcade, built in 1890. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The arcade was beyond extraordinary. Nightlife in the area is great, House of Blues, The Jack casino, and great restaurants. I was slightly disappointed in the room, they were very clean just not fitting with the atmosphere.
