Meliá Lloret de Mar

We have just stayed at this hotel with our 4 month old baby and it was a fantastic hotel really nice and clean, the room we had was so spacious and they provided a travel cot on arrival which my baby adapted really well to. The staff there was lovely and really helpful especially the lady in the resteraunt with the blonde hair not sure on her name she really looked after us and our baby every meal time! The food was nice and a huge selection of different food available. The only down side to this hotel I would say was the amount of large groups of Spanish guests staying there that seemed really rude and kept giving us funny looks with our baby which did make us feel uncomfortable as it is supposed to be a family friendly hotel apart from that we had a lovely time here and would recommend

Overall good location have stayed here before. They have introduced beverages with meal which is a positive. Rooms clean and no issues overall. Meals disappointed with both both breakfast and dinner offerings. Breakfast always had to asked for butter and getting eggs and omelette was a long wait and breakfast items held on hot holding were cold/warm the pigeons on the exterior eating are a nuisance. Dinner meat offering was very poor had lamb bones which had very little meat and tough and pork ribs tough Beef which was fatty and left for guests I did bring to attention and asked for more beef to be cut which was done reluctantly as well all the food held on holding were cold and not maintaining temperature. Salad offering was good and soup was good. We loved the desserts. Weather was mixed Hotel could do with more atmosphere as very little happening did see a jazz evening but that was about it.

I really enjoyed my stay at The Melia. The staff are fantastic. Special thanks to one of the night staff Bacary who helped me with a problem I had with my mobile phone. What a lovely young man.
