Novotel Shenzhen Watergate

I had stayed in this hotel many time. It's warm and nice, the location is good and easy to find it. Good management by ACCOR with easy rbooking and upgrade the room when arrival. The hotel close to a big garden which good for exercise.

Breakfast is the worst I ever had! Don’t know how can they rate 4 stars! Staffs are not helpful at all

The hotel has a good location near Hongling metro station and Grand Theater Metro Station. There is a mall nearby and the room is very comfy. We didn't like the smoky smell in the hallways/elevators and that the pool was closed in July 2020.

The area is very walkable and is super close to two metro stations. Hongling on line 9 is much closer but you can also take exit E at Grand Station and walk through Hongling station to get to the hotel. The entrance is hard to spot. Take a left just after Wang Steak and there is a small staircase to a parking lot. A ramp leads to the lobby. We enjoyed our room and thought that the bathroom was very clean and had great pressure. The beds were very comfortable as well. The only let downs were that the pool was closed during our July 2020 stay and the hallways and elevators smelled smoky. Some of the decor (carpets and restaurant) are tacky and dated. The breakfast wasn't spectacular but got the job done - there is a made to order wonton/noodle soup station and omelette station. In addition to the metro stations nearby the hotel is also close to the KK100 tower and a few malls. Nice views around the hotel but don't expect to see much from in the hotel.

I have stayed in this hotel 3 times. The last time I came here, they were starting to renovate the rooms interior. This time round, the rooms have been fully upgraded and I was very surprised by the big improvement. Although the hotel is quite old, the newly renovated rooms actually made your stay very comfortable and more than make up for the old exterior of the hotel. The hotel was very nice and given me an upgrade to their suite. The only issue I have with the room is that there is not enough lighting for the living room. There is only one spot light above the sofa area and a standing lamp beside the study table. The light from the lamp is not bright enough for me to see clearly when using the study table. It would be better to have another light source in the room. The hotel has a restaurant under its management that served breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet style. There is also an ala-carte menu. The food is delicious and the price is very reasonable. The biggest advantage of this hotel is that it is located in a very good location with 3 train lines in the train stations near it.

Costed me CNY600 plus. I got an upgrade because I am Accor Gold Member, but still...... There is no bar or executive lounge. If you want to have a drink you will have to go to the cafe. I went there for a cup of coffee, the staff there are not attentive. The only thing I like about the hotel, it is walking distance the mall.

Ticks all the standard brand boxes, no complaints but ntg exciting. One nuisance VERY hard to find the entry!!!! Who is the genius who has put a DARK COLORED directional sign on a DARK wall of the front building WAY ABOVE line of sight!!!! Squeezed between several residential bldgs and commercial space, with the actual hotel door around an oblique corner......guys come on...THINK! all else ok

Average hotel with below 4 **** Lack of facility Language issue No one speak English Breakfast r limited but they r trying to meet for u Staff r very limited Always call several time for single service Might be not having stay again!!!!!!!

I loved the hotel, the location (near Grand Theater and Shenzhen Museum), the friendly staff and the delicious breakfast buffet. My only qualm was some cigarette odor in non-smoking room.

I am a frequent traveler and Accor loyalty member. This is the worst experience with Accor Hotels. 1) I would love to go to the gym, and i went at 6.30am (the mentioned opening time is 7.00am). I even need to go to the reception and ask why not open. Is this a service? 2) No welcome drinks, no good welcoming. Not even good service to tell me the check-in is done, until I asked. 3) Typically there is at least welcome snacks, but not even welcome snacks 4) Missing tea and coffee bags in the room and I needed to ask. Extremely disappointed!
