Abigail's Hotel

We stayed for 3nights after a 2.5wk roadtrip around the Canadian Rockies & having stayed 1-2nights in various accomodations. This was far & away... 1) The most helpful by far! 2) Centally located (10-15min walk to the centre) with the Harbour, Emperess Hotel, Government Building (beautiful when litup at night viewed from the harbour). 3) Atmospheric, beautifully presented & nothing broken not working. 4) Great value, such as the bountiful fresh made breakfast that is included. 5) The most super clean, well appointed room. The bed was like a fairytale, I needed a ladder to get up onto it & was so comfortable! Perfect balance vetween soft covers & firm enough mattress & pillows. Even with a bottle of red or white wine in the room to buy. Bottle of water & glasses & beautiful fluffy towels & detail even folding the toilet paper & sealing with a embosed seal! 6) Gentle environment (respectful adult atmosphere) & very friendly helpful, knowledgable staff. Nothing was too much trouble, help taking your suitcases upstairs (there is no lift for upstairs as it is a period property). From being greeted in your room with homemade cookies on arrival, to a very exceptional free snack provided in the lounge area everyday @4:30pm. Beds re-made everyday, hot drinks self serve avail & breakfasts included that were freshly made & 3 courses! 🤯 If you didnt want the baked goods (muffin/crossaint) they would bag it for you to take away for your day out! 🥐 Not a short review but hopefully helpful & informs you of their commitment to giving a truly wonderful experience. Just wish we could come back sometime, never say never I guess. 🤞🏻🥰 Recommend Red Fish, Blue Fish takeaway Fish & Chips takeaway behind the harbour. Government buildings litup at night viewed from the harbour. Beacon Hill park 15min walk from hotel (free entry) was stunning, with the largest yotem pole & usually a Bald Eagle lands ontop! Lovely playpark area for kids. Wild areas, hummingbirds, peacocks, 50-60 nesting herons & lovely planting. Pagliacci's Italian Restaurant is wonderful, beautiful quality food & had Live Jazz playing when we went (Mon night). Worth a 5* review.

And the breakfast… everything is fresh and excellent. The menu changes everyday. Really a wonderful stay.

Nothing to dislike at this property

My wife and I spent two nights here celebrating our 38th. anniversary . Just as memorable as our honeymoon. Gorgeous room on 3rd. floor and sooo quit so we slept like babies in our huge king bed. Staff was so friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was simple but tasty. Too bad we can't do it again when I am 114.

Quaint hotel in a quiet neighborhood. The staff were super friendly and welcoming.
