Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Marion by IHG

The room assigned to us had a non-working toilet so we asked for a different room. The desk manage said they didn't have any more rooms available so we went to a different hotel. They apologized for our inconvenience. My credit card next statement had the room charge and when I disputed the charge the General Manager said he would fix it, but, never followed through. After three months of challenges, I was told I had to pay the charge because the GM decided it was valid. Really? Don't stay here!

The manager never let the general manager know that we were in need of commucating complaints about the hotels inaccessible pool. We were not let known about the problems with the pool at check in. We were unable to get reimbursement for having to use outside amenities due to the pool being out of service. We tried multiple attempts to speak with proper management about our issues. Management seemed constantly unavailable.

We stay here every time we need a hotel in Marion. Clean hotel. Nice beds. Always consistent with those. Was a bit underwhelmed this time as there were a few things under par. Air in lobby and hallways wasn’t working so they had the front doors popped open with a fan blowing. Ice machine only working on third floor. No cinnamon rolls for breakfast and was pretty much out of breakfast by 8:30. Juice machine at breakfast wasn’t working. So it was a bit under par in some areas but the cleanliness of this place will always bring me back. I have always been happy with that, it’s so hard to find a trustworthy hotel in that area. So as long as it stays clean I will be back every time I’m in Marion.

Don’t know much about the property. Expedia was notified that the reservation was canceled and you did not tell us. We drove for 4 hours and found out at the hotel that there was no room for us. We were left stranded. We will never use Expedia again.

Was very happy. Room was clean and beds and pillows very comgfortable. Loved the convience of breakfast. Would stay there again.

Wifi didn't work in my room because I was 'too far'. I was there on business and needed access to wifi. Had to do most of my work in the common areas. Technical support the staff had me contact wasn't helpful.

We had reserved a room for after our wedding. But when we decided to send some of our guests to stay at the room instead they would not let them. So the room went unused.
