"Missed opportunity"

4.0

Our room shower was not clean and was dripping loudly throughout the night. When we woke up early to catch our flight, we realized there was not soap in the room. We were only staying that 1 evening and were here for a wedding. The check in process was great, but we dropped our stuff off quickly to take care of wedding stuff and came back late that night after the reception and didn't notice the issues until the morning when we woke to get ready to leave.

The pictures of the Dega house is not well where you’ll be staying it’s a total different house which caught us by surprise because we saw the pictures and thought OK well this is nice this is where will be staying no it was a rundown house that had mold all on the inside of the house the AC to the house did not work they had to bring in AC units to try to cool down the house they brought in that then the power to half the house went out because of the AC units that they brought in was pulling too much juice the roof was leaking the pool was dirty it was just not a very pleasant place to stayWhen you spend $1800 for two nights you want a nice place to stay and I’m telling you when you see the pictures of the Dega house that is not where you’ll be staying don’t get caught by surprise like we did

"Loved this hotel!"

10.0

This B&B is worth every penny. The service and staff were excellent. The history behind the location makes one feel like a part of New Orleans and a nice tour of the hotel is included. The made to order breakfast is delicious! I highly recommend The Degas House and look forward to staying here next time I am in this beautiful and culture-rich city.

Checking in was terrible, very confusing on what the process is. The cooking staff was excellent, along with the food. Being an old historical house, you would figure it would be in better shape. Disappointed in its condition, the location was good.

"Felt like college days"

Well i must say my weekend was a bit of a nightmare. I am a frequent visitor to the city and in the interest of diversity i decided to splash out for a stay at the Degas House. Without question the house and staff are top notch. The problem lies in the fact that the total lack of soundproofing between rooms makes the place little better than a youth hostal. Friday night i suffered through a batchelorette party that went on until 330am in the neighboring room. Saturday night the afterparty for the wedding did not end until 430am also in the neighboring room. Sunday night was relatively peaceful until 1230am when my neighbors returned and proceeded to have a very loud fight! Thankfully this ended relatively quickly and peace finally prevailed. So you see i am very disappointed with my stay. Also bed was very uncomfortable

We booked late at night after a snafoo with our previous accommodations. An employee got there as soon as she could to get us settled and even arrived with beers! Room was cute, tons of pillows! Breakfast in the morning was filling and tasty and they offered up lots of advice for things to do.
