"Great stay"

10.0

We have been coming to the Hilton here in Aruba with family for about 6 years. It is always one of our favorite trips. The hotel is convenient to everything. Everyone is very friendly. Jayden was amazing at check in. Very accommodating and Alexander at breakfast always had a smile and good conversation! They keep improving and updating the hotel and the property is beautiful! We are already starting the countdown to next years trip!

"Great location, beautiful hotel"

10.0

My husband and I visited Aruba for the first time over Valentine's day and stayed at this hotel/resort. Overall it was a great stay, the grounds are beautiful and easy to navigate. It's also centrally located on the main street in "Palm Springs". The great location made it easy to explore the area and get something to eat. The area around the hotel is styled after South Beach, Fl, but cleaner and safer, with lots of shopping and restaurants. The beach was easily accessible and you could access DePalm Pier next tour or continue to other hotels. Our room was well appointed, large with a balcony. It was advertised as "partial ocean view" but had a good view of the beach and water. A rooftop was to our right but it wasn't a problem. We stayed in Aruba tower but all of the towers are lined up next to each other. I think our was furthest away from the construction. They are still working on the newest tower and what looks like a new pool or pool expansion. The construction didn't have much impact on our vacation except that the one pool was closed, but there was another large pool that was open and plenty of seating/lounge arrangements around the pool. There was also a deck area with lounges that was very comfortable, although it wasn't by any water. However, it was much less crowded than everywhere else. The hotel was clean and very typical of Hiltons. Staff was helpful, although there were clearly some trainees who didn't have as much information as the more experienced staff. The casino was relatively small with a decent variety of slot machines but only one open roulette table, 3 open blackjack tables and 1 poker table. We were there on a Saturday so I was surprised at how quiet the Casino was, but people walked around a lot at night, a lot like South Beach, so less likely to be in the hotel. We had a couple of hiccups but nothing that would stop me from going back. We arrived in the early afternoon and went to get lunch. We arrived at 2:50 and didn't realize that happy hour started at 3 pm with discounted drinks. Unfortunately, our waiter didn't mention it when we ordered our drinks at 2:55 and, when we asked about the discounted prices at 3:05 he said it was too late to change. We tried to address it with multiple staff who kept referring us to someone else. Ultimately, it was $12 but it was more the annoyance that they could have mentioned it or waited the 5 minutes to put the order in. We went to have breakfast at the Laguna. We didn't want a lot of food but waited a long time for a fruit platter and acai bowl. The food was underwhelming. We are gold status and supposed to have a discount but it wasn't applied. This was consistent that staff didn't seem to know what discounts/specials to apply to guests. Oscars Market was nice for quick snacks. It also featured Lavazza coffee and a good variety of gelatto. Overall, a great stay at a good hotel.

"Outstanding vacation due to superior service"

10.0

Arrived at the Hilton late due to the Aruba airport shutdown on February 9, 2026. The room I booked was not the room I was assigned due to a booking mistake made by Priceline.com I was tired and cranky. The Front office manager (Elton Trezil) was kind and understanding. He went over and above to make my stay as pleasant as possible. He even helped me deal with the Priceline people who made the booking mistake. I really enjoyed whole Hilton experience as a result of Elton’s efforts and kindness. We loved the restaurants, beach, and grounds. Perfect location. Hilton is lucky to have him!

"This place sucks- stay ANYWHERE else"

2.0

Don’t ever go here… The place sucks, and the service is worse… Unfortunately, I took my family to the Hilton Aruba Carribbean Resort and Casino this week… From the second I arrived, I realized it was a gigantic mistake… Upon check in, I learned that my room was not yet available- minor inconvenience… Then I found out that one of the property’s two pools was closed for renovations, something that was conveniently left out when I booked the stay… The staff responded by telling me that the closure was disclosed on their website… After two days searching the website (on the hotel WiFi, which is virtually unusable its so bad) I found no mention of a closure… I did find wonderful prose and beautiful pictures extolling the wonder of Hilton’s two pools… They’re full of it- total liars… I then tried the bar, figuring an adult beverage might take the edge off… Nope… The vodka and soda I ordered was almost completely devoid of alcohol… To date, it’s the most expensive club soda I’ve ever purchased… The restaurant was equally poor… Hamburgers like hockey pucks, buffalo chicken wraps without buffalo sauce, and flavorless fries that tasted like they’d spent a decade under a heat lamp… When my room was ready, I went upstairs… Once inside, I was greeted by the air conditioner so loud I wondered if there was a trucking depot nearby… The furniture featured drawers that barely opened and closets with broken handles… To say that the room was old and worn is a generous description, as it looked like it was last remodeled circa 2002… My complaints to many staff members have yielded countless ā€œI’m sorry, but tough sh-tā€ like responses… No accommodations, no exceptions, no discounts- not even an offer of lousy and worthless Hilton points… They even denied my request for a late checkout, citing the hotel’s fully booked status… Needless to say, I’ll NEVER stay at this dump again, nor any other Hilton property for that matter… As a lifetime Platinum Elite member with Marriott, its clear to see why Hilton is the Walmart of accommodations… If, like mine, your group decides to vacation here, immediately replace the decision makers or find another group… My advice to any traveler considering this property would be to stay ANYWHERE else on the island… This hotel and its staff flat out suck…

"Great First Aruba Vacation"

8.0

We stayed at the Hilton for 10 days. The check-in process was seamless. Unfortunately we were assigned a lower floor, odd numbered ocean view room that really just looked at the roof. This was disappointing, though the other two couples in our group were higher up and with even roof numbers had better exposure. We asked if we could be moved but the hotel was fully booked. In the long run it didn't make that much of a difference to us. The rooms are just rooms...nicely decorated and our bed was comfortable. Breakfast was included with our package so we went to the buffet most mornings. The buffet, though not large, had enough options for us. My husband used the gym a few times. It is on the small side and was pretty busy in the mornings. In my opinion, the Hilton is located on the best part of Palm Beach. We liked that we could walk out the back door to access lots of dining options on foot and the waterfront is beautiful. The majority of the pool was closed during our stay due to construction at the Westerly, but the part that was still open was immaculate. There was lots of lively music around the pool later in the afternoon. We used an ocean view palapa each day. These need to be booked ahead of time and are added to your bill. I would say that this resort is a bit expensive. Food, drinks and palapas add up pretty quickly. We did use the beach service on occasion (amazing mojitos) but also often brought our own drinks and snacks to the beach. Despite being in a busy area we found the resort to relaxing and quiet enough for us. We loved going for a big walk early in the morning along the boardwalk and then down to Eagle Beach and back. This made us feel like we had earned the right to hold down a beach chair for the rest of the day. If you are headed to the Hilton you will have a good time and will find the property to be well maintained by attentive employees. When we return to Aruba we are likely to try a different resort but would also return to the Hilton if the opportunity presented itself.

"Caribbean nostalgia, but with bigger crowds"

8.0

After nine years away from Aruba (we used to have a time share at the Divi Phoenix), Carol and I decided to go back for a week, and we picked the Hilton because we stayed at this hotel on our first visit there, when it was a Radisson. Perhaps not surprisingly, the island has greatly changed in nine years, and, as is often the case, not all for the better. It is much more built up and, of course, more crowded. The one thing that has not been built up is the amount of beach (often less in some places due to erosion), which makes the competition for a place on the sand, with shade, more intense. On this, a bit more later. The hotel dates back to 1957, but it has also been expanded. Part of the layout was familiar from our first stay, and the grounds are still very green and aesthetically laid out. There are still caged parrots, macaws, and a cockatoo, but now they are displayed together in one are rather than scattered around, and they have been made into an educational display. There are several eating venues. We mostly used Oscar's Market for breakfast and lunch (with one breakfast being taken at the Laguna, which is a table service restaurant), but had our dinners offsite. Oscar's is open from 6:00Am to 11:00PM, so it was very convenient. Our room was modest in size, and fine for our purposes, except that it could have used more than just one lounge chair. Our view was nothing much, though we could see the water from our balcony, which looked towards the weest and the massive Riu Palace, as well as some of the ongoing construction of a the new Westerly tower. Oh, well . . . Our biggest complaint is with the method for reserving a palapa on the beach. When it was the Radisson, it was a simple sign-up at a specific time, first come, first served, with no extra charge. Now, despite the much higher room rates charged these days, while there are some available for free (never near the water), most of the palapas can only be reserved for a fee, the highest coming to over $100 for one day if you want it for the whole day. Our friends who have time shares at the Playa Linda tell us that theirs are still obtained, for no charge, by just going down (albeit before dawn) and claiming one in the morning. As I said, this was our biggest complaint about what was a very pleasant and nostalgic stay.

"Not so nice ending to a nice stay"

6.0

We booked 2 rooms for 8 nights each. Had to leave 1 night early due to the storm coming to the east coast this past weekend. Talked to the front desk personnel(rude) and the manager and showed them the alerts we were getting on our phones. It didn’t matter, they said we still had to pay for the last night. As a matter of fact, we were even charged the resort fee and we weren’t even there. They told us to talk to the director the day we were leaving but he/she would not even come out to talk to us. Terrible customer service, and this was after being there for a full week in 2 rooms. Furthermore, had we gotten stuck there, the hotel was fully occupied. The flight we were on did in fact get cancelled, as did all flights up and down the east coast…..do better for your members, Hilton
