Unfriendly staff. Indifferent to your questions and carry a "don't care" attitude. We checked in at late night at 1 am after a long drive from Canada. We emailed about our late check in and did not get any response to it. At the time of check in no parking was available as mentioned in their website. The receptionist asked us to park in the street parking in front of the hotel. We followed their instructions to a T only to get a ticket in the morning for $50 from the county as it was a local cleaning day, this information was not made available to us by the staff when we were asked to park streetside when questioned why so, we were rudely pointed to a board outside the hotel end of street with said information. I did get a parking spot upon payment of $20 in the hotel after 9 am. When asked about the parking confusion the bell boy response was rude and he blamed it on us. The breakfast is substandard and not fresh at all. The room is acceptable in terms of cleanliness althought the Air Conditioning unit did seem to have aged poorly making the most noise in the room by a mile.

Hotel said they will do my special request but didn’t. The valet doesn’t know how to drive properly so had to take my car back before any damages were done.

Despite other reviews, we were very happy. The rooms were dated or dirty but functional and clean. The location is excellent for what we were seeking which was a trip into the city and then access to eastern LI for an event. Staff was wonderful and helpful and mostly available. If there was a knock for me to give, it would be that, yes, the sound in the place is tough. You can really hear a lot from other rooms but we had no issues while we were there regarding sleeping. The bed was super comfortable and we turned on the HVAC for background noise and slept great. We didn't try the breakfast bc we went to the gym across the tracks and missed it but the wife got tea anytime of day she wanted it. We were pleasantly surprised based on some of the other reviews and would absolutely stay here again as the price was right, the train is right there, staff was great and there is plenty of good food and shopping all walkable around the hotel.

This place is well situated and the staff are friendly but the walls are paper thin. We switched rooms and the second one was no better. The entire place needs a redo. The bathroom shower head was ancient and the water flow was poor. The toilet in our first room was so low we practically needed to use the sink to get up. The valet parking was okay but only stayed until 7. Not sure what happens after that. Recommend staying somewhere else.

Place is a Dump. Not worth the price. Hotel needs a lot of updating-slow drain drain, broken lamp, broken closet drawers, difficult tv to turn on and use, terrible breakfast w limited menu snd dirty table cloths, clod hospitality. Overall experience TERRIBLE.
