It was clean.

Very limited parking. You must get up to feed the parking meter before 7 AM, and it's freezing outside.

Excellent location. Good rooms and great bedding.

Horrible cheap breakfast in an unclean room. Also no noise proofing. Some of the staff were a bit rude.

I stayed there because it was near. North Shore hospital where my wife was having surgery. The person who checked me in was very unfriendly. The rooms were very dates and badly in need of updating. The walls were not insulated so I could hear the conversations of people in rooms on either side of me.

It is so refreshing to know that real people exist in today’s day and age. In this new world of AI and everyone busy on their phones. I noticed the largest disconnect in the knowledge in the social realm. But some how the staff understand the importance of human to human connection and proper guest service. Proper guest service is someone sincerely caring for you and catering to your needs. And I am excited to share that this was exactly my experience here. Thank you!

The Andrew Hotel was an exceptional experience. The property is well-maintained, the service goes above and beyond. A standout in my stay was the professionalism and warmth of the staff—especially Hiran Perera, whose attention to detail, courteous demeanor, and proactive approach elevated the entire visit. His commitment to guest satisfaction reflects the hotel’s high standards and makes the Andrew Hotel a place I will gladly return to and recommend.

The hotel sits right in the center of Great Neck, which is a charming town with plenty of shops, restaurants and an easy walk to the train. The location is easily the best part of the experience. The atmosphere inside tells a very different story. You step into the lobby and then wait for someone to appear from a back room. The seating area aims for a funky look, although time has not been kind to it. Amenities are nowhere to be found, and the only bathroom is tucked away in a hidden corner that requires you to ask for access. The rooms are overdue for a serious update. While mine was reasonably clean, everything felt worn and tired so the space never felt truly fresh. The toilet sat at an odd angle, the sink dripped and never fully shut off, the air system belonged in a museum, the television setup was outdated, and the sheets had the texture of sandpaper. The bed itself was comfortable, which deserves credit. Unfortunately, the walls are so thin that every late night conversation from neighboring rooms became part of our stay. In room amenities were minimal. Paper cups, two decaf pods and no milk or sugar. The clock tried very hard to look boutique but offered little function. Outlets were old and poorly placed. Breakfast was a surprise in its own way. It was a very basic continental spread in a tiny second floor room. The coffee was unpleasant and the creamers had turned, so we chose to eat out. Service was the clear bright spot. The parking staff could not have been kinder. They helped us avoid parking tickets and always opened the door with a smile. The check in staff were lovely as well when they were present. In the end, the hotel feels dated and slightly eerie. At more than four hundred dollars for a single night, it did not feel like a good value. We will not be returning until the place gets a major refresh.

Throughout the past year I've stayed at the andrew hotel on multiple occasions. The property never disappoints! It is unfortunate that this building gets a bad rep. Though it may be old, the staff take care of it and make it work. While I can not speak for others. I can surely speak to for the glory of my stays.

The Andrew is clean and refreshing. A great place to feel at home when you’re not at home. Additionally, the staff is courteous and professional and Brian (Front desk) is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. A pleasure to deal with.
