Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Chicago St. Charles

The bed and pillows were good. The room was fairly quiet. The breakfast selection was good. The room was clean and the coffee pot sort of worked.

The ants in the sink were the first problem. The air was forceful and somewhat loud even though set the fan on low. My wife did not like looking at the plumbing under the sink while using the toilet. There is one grabbar in the shower near the shower head, but nothing if you turn around to rinse your back. The facial tissues were gone after taking a few with no backup supply. There are not of convenience items in the bathroom. Just soap or bodywash, shampoo and conditioner in the shower. There wasn't a telephone to call to say we needed more tissues, and nobody at the desk to ask. New rules at Marriott hotels do not require cleaning, bed making, trash removal or resupply items such as coffee unless you stay more than two night. If you are a party of 2, and each make coffee in your room, sorry you don't get any more unless you stay over a third night.

Clean and comfortable. Front Desk person was very friendly and helpful with supplies, directions, and welcoming at check in (Jenniker sp?).
