Le Richelieu Hotel

We had an outstanding stay at the property. The staff is incredible! We are planning another trip and intend to stay at Le Richelieu.

We had a couple of little issues but we reported them and they fixed it immediately! The staff is so attentive.

Loved the property and location near the French Market. The room and balcony were nice bringing back the nostalgia of New Orleans. I enjoyed not having to worry about my vehicle behind the gated parking lot. Staff was very friendly.

Location was amazing (end of French Quater/ beginning of Frenchmen street). Rebecca (front desk) was so kind and exactly the type of person you hope for when traveling to New Orleans. She gave us real southern hospitality and kindness! Bed was very comfortable and waters were always available at the front desk. Keep in mind, this is an older city and the hotel represents that in the best ways. It’s modern and upgraded but if you’re someone with a lot of expectations and needs room service, go to a chain hotel. If you want an authentic experience, stay here! We will be back!

It is in a nice area and very close to everything. Secure carpark which is an additional cost pf $45 plus tax. Comfortable beds.

There was no bar. Some staff were helpful but not all. Ie we were not told that bottled water was available daily we were also not told that coffee was available.

The location was perfect, I have no complaints about that. However I suggest you don’t even bother with the paperwork until you get there because you’ll have to do it all again at check in regardless so I wasn’t too pleased with that since we were very tired getting there. Then the 45$ per night parking isn’t really optional because we were told street parking was for residents so be ready for that. The place was very clean, old and beautiful. The balcony was a little small and precarious but yes it was technically a balcony overlooking the parking lot… There is a safe and a mini fridge in there no microwave. Oh, and don’t expect to sleep in unless you are a deep sleeper because about daybreak until 9 people are slamming doors and throwing things around, not sure what was going on but that was my experience. You can definitely hear everything from the room across from you and the hallways. Room service does come in and clean while you are out during the day. Everything else was great though and check out was easy. Close to a ton of food places and cool shops. Not bad for a short stay.

Room off the pool, very nice but everytime I opened the shade on the window people crane their necks to look in. So that kept the room from having nice natural light. Maybe another opaque shade in addition would help Otherwise very nice! Wish the bar had been open...

Marisol and her staff were very accommodating. Service was outstanding. It is an older property, but it is well taken care of and clean. Location couldn't have been better. 3 minute walk to everything in the east side of French Quarter, and no farther to Marigny.

only complaint would be shower. Took forever to get hot water, and water pressure was lacking. Refrigerators were inconsistent from room to room, but our unit worked very well.
