Le Richelieu Hotel

The staff was curtious and polite. We also liked coming back to a clean room at the end of every day. We also enjoyed the free water they provided. AC was amazing as well, including the ceiling fan. We also enjoyed 2 balconies and were able to see the view of the french quarter streets from our room. Great location, close to everything. Great experience.

The beds and pillows could definitely use an upgrade, were not the most comfortable. Also the walls were very thin, we were able to hear EVERYTHING going on outside, however we understand the history and how old the building was so it didn’t ruin our experience.

Great location, room was huge. Comfortable bed. Beautiful pool, water was cold but nice to sit out there and enjoy morning coffee in the sun.

The bar wasn’t open during our stay but they are applying for a liquor license so it will be soon. That would be a very convenient addition.

Even though the hotel was old, they went out of their way to allow access through the parking lot For my electric scooter and placed us in a room close to the rear.

Not that they had any control over it. But a lot of the doors being that the buildings are old are offen.

Er was geen ontbijt mogelijk. Er was alleen gratis koffie. De junior suite 318 is zeer ruim met zelfs een ‘walk-in closet’ en voldoende kastruimte. Goed bed. De dames en heren van de receptie, overigens onderbezet, als ook het huishoudelijk personeel waren altijd uiterst vriendelijk en opgeruimd. Maar niet erg service gericht met uitzondering van Rebecca. Die haar taak als gastvrouw zeer serieus nam. De lokatie kan nauwelijks beter.

De hotelbar was steeds gesloten. De kamer was zeer sober ingericht en enigszins sleets. Alleen een rolgordijntje voor de ramen en nergens tapijt maar overal laminaat. Niet wat je verwacht bij een junior- suite. De foto’s bij de accomodatie geven geen juist beeld van de situatie.

Location is excellent with so much available within a short walking distance including restaurants, cafes, bars and public transport links.

The room was huge. Loved the location. Near really good cafes and restaurants and the french market!

I thought I was getting a private balcony. It was a shared balcony. Wish they stated that. The sink was a bit small but at least I was just one person. Ive stayed in other rooms before and ususlly the bathrooms are bigger with longer and better countertops. The walls are paper thin so you can hear everyone do things. I’d recommend rugs on wooden floors. The person above was pacing at night back and forth and maybe a rug could help with the noise.
