Residence Inn Milwaukee Downtown

Property was clean and staff was friendly. Located close to several options for dining and relaxing. Property had washer and dryer facilities that were extremely clean. I would stay again if revisiting the area.

Great location. Breakfast options and quality was very good. No bellman service was surprising. Convenient to Fiserve. Overall great stay. Cost of stay was a high because of all activities over the weekend.

Pleasant weekend stay in downtown Milwaukee.

First negative review I’ve ever written in my middle aged life…. Not kidding. Front desk person working 7/25 evening had a horrible attitude and was not accommodating. I asked about parking bc online it stated underground parking. She said no more spots are left, park across the street. I said my dad is disabled and his wheelchair had low battery. With an attitude-She said, ‘I said, there is no more parking and you can park across the street.’ Then I booked 2 rooms for 2 nights and I said I need the rooms close together bc of my kids and elderly father. She said the rooms are on different floors. I said that won’t work for my family, for safety reasons and fall risk concerns. She said,‘I’ll cancel your rooms, but you prepaid so you will still be billed.’ I said, well I guess I have to stay here, then she said, ‘well I already canceled your rooms!’ I stood there in shock… she said, ‘ well are you still interested?’ I said not if they’re on different floors. Then she acted like she was doing me a huge favor by calling to the parking garage to see if they had a handicap spot. They did have a handicap spot but she wasn’t able to get our rooms together. She refused to refund my reservation. Then I said well I will block my payment and she said and I’ll note that on your account. She refused to give her name or any supervisor on duty, she said she was the supervisor on duty. Then I booked a Fairfield (another Marriott hotel) by the Brewers stadium and it is wonderful here ! However when I called Marriott tonight to see about getting a Residence Inn refund, they said she put me down as a ‘no show’ and they said it’s a 5 d review process that the individual hotel has the discretion to issue or not!! Even though I rebooked another Marriott location. I wasn’t a ‘no show’… false documentation on her part. It really puts a dark cloud on a vacation when it’s undetermined if you’re going to have to pay $1800 for a 2 night stay that you can’t utilize due to safety concerns. If I could type ZERO stars I would. My dad is a military marine veteran, where is the respect for elderly veterans. I’ve stayed at numerous Marriotts, this is hands down the worst. Don’t waste your money!!

Meh. No room safe, only one working elevator, parking was full, few toiletries...if rather stay somewhere else.

Worked out as a great stay. We were here during the first Summerfest weekend and it was a reasonable walk from the concert grounds. Priscilla and Asst. Manager Laurie were incredibly friendly;they exceed all expectations of customer service and made us happy guests. Breakfast bar was good quality and rooms were clean & quiet. Made for a fun weekend - thanks!
