The Ven at Embassy Row, Washington, D.C., a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

Accommodation was okay, however shared spaces not clean especially the lobby furniture had stains of beverages. The lift had was littered most times and evidence of not being cleaned for some time.

Rooms were clean, but very small rooftop pool was open, but not very well maintained dirty towels laying around. The staff that I did deal with they were amazing.

Peaceful stay!

From check-in to departure we’ve had a great experience at The Ven. Friendly personnel, convenient room with a little fridge and coffee machine, bathroom amenities of good quality etc. Even the roof top bar “Tag” with the little pool area was still open. Also, location was great , too. Walking distance to a lot of cafes, restaurants and shops and even to the White House (2 miles). We’d come back when in Washington.

Eli is a tremendous asset to this property. He is not only knowledgeable he is very professional. He gave us great restaurant recommendations as well as good conversation.

Amazing experience!

Overall, I had an amazing stay for my 1st visit at The Ven now that my family member lives in DC. I was looking for a central location close to them, public transport, points of interest and all the beauty all around with DuPont Circle and all the embassies, old trees and beautiful neighborhood. ***Special compliments to: 1.) Negash for literally doing everything, being everywhere and completely taking ownership of every hotel operation as if he is the owner, which I complimented him on repeatedly during my stay. 2.) Brian at the front desk who gave me his personal umbrella without hesitation when I was going to be on foot all day and it was raining. He’s professional, yet also warm, friendly, smiling and willing to go beyond the call to take care of me and assure I was comfortable. 3.) The gents at the bar and who delivered my room service in the morning for breakfast and the evening for dinner & drinks. You guys also did an amazing job taking care of me and made fantastic recommendations (Don’t miss the grilled octopus starter as it is top notch!) and you all provided me wonderful service throughout my stay 4.) All the front desk/phone staff. You all were super-friendly, you didn’t miss a greeting in or out and brought great warmth, welcome and support throughout my stay as well 5.) My cleaning staff for room 826 who also made extra efforts to take care of the details within the housekeeping function, you all did a great job keeping my room clean and respecting my items left in room Thank you all SO much and great job for the last 6 days! I look forward to seeing you all again next time. Things for ***management*** to focus on are the details to up level the entire experience (ie per the above, every room having their own umbrellas, improved shower heads & non-fabric shower curtains into door(s) that don’t consistently leak onto floor, ability to open the windows, development of roof deck, pool area and roof bar (only for hotel guests-ideally adults only & not open to public given it’s small size and restful, sanctuary possibility, area recommendations, maps of embassies and points of interest in the area and much more).
