Staybridge Suites Columbus-Airport by IHG

Not particularly clean or well-maintained

The property was just as represented on the website and the happy but feature was a bonus

The facility/stay was very disappointing for Staybridge quality. Very run down facility. Rugs are dirty, walls are patched and bathroom cieling was peeling. The bath tub faucet had only the shower and not the tub. Elevator was broke!!!!! I saw food/stains all over the stairs. The only 2 things that were good were: Shower pressure and the breakfast. I have stayed at Staybridge in diff coties and MUCH nicer. Very disappointing when you pay so much money and get this. There were several nicer hotels around that I coukd have picked from had I known.

The elevator didn’t work and hasn’t for months evidently but they of course didn’t divulge this on the reservation. They did call me the day of and ask if I wanted a different room but I needed a suite so I had no choice. The furniture was torn and had stains on it, the curtains in the main bedroom had something on them, not sure if I want to know what it was. There was hair in the bathrooms and colored tinsel in the bathrooms and on the couch. The stove had crusty stuff on it and there were crumbs between the fridge and counter. On the positive side….very spacious, the beds were very comfortable, probably the most comfortable I’ve stayed in. The lobby was nice and updated. The breakfast buffet had a lot of choices

The elevator was broken. Airport shuttle didn’t start until 7am. The staff was very nice.

DO NOT STAY HERE! I stayed at this property a year ago and was pleased with the stay. This year when we checked in we were told we were on the 3rd floor and the elevator was broken. It would not be fixed. They had no other room options. We were then told there was no housekeeping services on the weekend. The room is listed as accommodating 4 guests the fold out couch was horrible. The mattress was paper thin and incredibly uncomfortable so much so my son elected. to sleep on a blanket on the floor. The shower head was coming away from the wall and the vent was filthy. Downstairs the men’s public toilet was broken. To top it all off the last night of our stay the hot water was broken. And so we could not take showers. The next morning they still did not have hot water but knowingly were serving food without being able to properly wash their hands with hot water and soap. When we pointed this out they said they were using hand sanitizer. I am a very experienced nurse and my husband works in the food industry and is food safe certified. Food born Bacteria can not be killed by hand sanitizer only with warm soapy water.

We had a very nice and quick trip! The room was excellently cleaned, bed was comfortable. The breakfast was great!

Woman at front desk who was working on sept 15 between the hours of 1am and 2:30am was rude and unpleasant during check in. As well as the woman working sept 15 at 10am had a lot of attitude when asking if the suite I was in had any coffee filters
